On episode 126, Zacchary and Sabrina discuss magical stories from Zacc’s planetary devotional practices (like how Venus shows herself, and learning to commune with the Moon through Artemis), some ways to get started with planetary magic & communication, and the way that one can build relationships with the planets through particular associated deities.

Zacchary is a Black Queer Astrologer currently based in Philadelphia who graduated in 2013 with a degree in political science and sociology, focused on the intersection of race, politics, inequality, and constitutional law. Along with his client work, he is the board secretary of the Association for Young Astrologers; a student of Kelly Surtees, Austin Coppock, and Chris Brennan; a professional Venus STAN; and a practicing astro-mage. Prior to making the glorious leap to become a professional astrologer, he worked in the fashion industry for a number of years; served as a policy analyst for a civil rights non-profit working to make structural changes to increase access to clean, safe, and affordable housing; and managed the Manhattan office of a top marketing consulting firm.

In March 2021, he launched his Weekly Planetary Reflections on Patreon, where he writes about the planet associated with the day or night (alternating each week), its current transits, the reflections & ponderings garnered from his planetary devotional practice, whimsical musings on how to elect for wyldly mundane things like food delivery, how he approaches ritual, and truly whatever else that comes to mind.

On episode 122, I had a conversation on dharma, business, and alignment with Adam Carney. Adam is an Artist and the founder of East+West. He spent the last 10 years traveling through India and Bali studying yoga in non-traditional settings and searching for the best yoga teachers on earth. He is certified in Integrative Health from Duke University.

Alignment as we spoke of it here was about making aligned life choices and navigating being open for aligned opportunities to arise while being able to turn down what is unaligned and being patient - as well as alignment in the context of listening to that inner spark of excitement and taking the leap to act on those sparks, whether they are bigger decisions like traveling, moving somewhere, starting a business, or perhaps smaller decisions like going to an event or taking some given fork in the road - not because you logically know why but because something in you is lighting up about it.

On episode 121, I felt inspired to record a story about my day and how I tracked the current astrology in my own experience.

I’ve had some people express curiosity about how astrologers experience astrology in life, and I also feel like stories are important part of being human (to share and receive). 

I’m looking for more literature and storytelling in the world that depicts the complexity of our actual experiences (storytelling catches up to life) and astrologers are always seeing an expansive tapestry of symbols at play, everywhere. I wanted to offer a portrait of a day under a pretty catalyzing sky from the perspective of someone tracking the symbols & living alongside that.

On episode 120, I had a transportive conversation with Trina and Joshua of Om Training Group, who facilitate daily mindfulness meditation and walk mindfulness as a spiritual path. You’re about to enter into the field of daily meditators - this is a place where perception widens and time “dilates” - there seems to be more bandwidth for picking up information and sensory input & a buffer between event & response - like more frames of time have opened up to create more space to respond instead of reacting, to make choices more freely.
