Mai Home Run

Happy New Year!! 2024 holy hecka! How are we here already? Before today, we got together and spoke about our New Years resolutions for this upcoming year. Hopefully we may inspire you to make some yourself, or you can listen to ours and give us smack if we break them within the first month haha.

2023 was a huge year for many people, including us! It was the first year we were together as a show which is crazy to think about. We thought we'd recap the year and reminisce with you! We recapped crazy World events, New Zealand events, and also some crack up moments on our show throughout the year. Even spoke about how we actually formed this team in the first place! We loved talking about these things so we hope you enjoy listening to it just as much! :)

Kia Ora Whānau! Here's another episode of the Home Run Hood Pass where each week we will pick an artist and highlight our favourite songs from them and what makes them fit to be a hood pass. This week is Katy Perry

During the year, we'd catch up with Bailey from the Mai Hot 20 and play a game with him called the 'Last Name Game', so we thought let's do it one last time!

Essentially, this is where we'd bring a name to the table, for example, Kanye West. Everyone playing the game has to rhyme with the last name until you're down to the last person. They might say: "Kanye tried really hard, that's Kanye Best" or "Kanye's sleeping, that's Kanye rest" etc. You get eliminated if you can't think of something to rhyme with.

We thought let's run it back for one last time for 2023 with the name we think is the easiest and see how long we can do it for,

This year we ran a segment called Hidden Gems. This is where we bring to the table songs you may have never heard, songs you've forgotten about, special remixes, freestyles, all that jazz! Today we wanted to highlight some of our favourites from across the year

Can you believe it! It's already Christmas, which also means we're on holiday! But we have a little something planned for you every weekday of the holidays so in case you want to hear our voices, you can. Today we wanted to run our segment Draft Day, but Kiwi Christmas Edition. We had some help by a very special judge Bailey from the Mai Hot 20. Merry Christmas Whānau!!

Kia Ora. FINAL SHOW OF THE YEAR! Man what a year it has been. Thank you all for the endless support you have given us. Although it’s the last show of the year, we have a podcast episode coming out every weekday of the holidays for you. We’ll catch you back live on air January 15th 2024. Have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. We appreciate you!! From Randy, Tylie, and Desch <3
