Major Slayage: Ket & Arik Rewatch Buffy the Vampire Slayer

This week's Buffy episode was one of our favorites! It had just about everything: A charismatic monster-of-the-week, sapphic flirtation, one of the most iconic dance sequences in television history... and virtually noting for for Xander, Willow, Cordelia, or Oz to do. With the addition of Buffy & Faith's new buttoned-up watcher, there just isn't enough screen time to go around. Not that we're complaining. We break it all down for you in this week's Major Slayage!

One of the things about reviewing a fantasy show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer is that it's so far-fetched and fanciful, it provides an escape from the awfulness of the real world. Nothing like that could happen to us... RIGHT!?

Check out this week's Major Slayage to find out what happens when a married pair of theater dork Buffy fans starts getting real.

It's Christmas in Sunnydale! Oz and Willow make up, Joyce makes roast beast, and Buffy and Angel make the beast with two backs... okay, it was only a dream, but still! Ket and Arik get what was on their wish lists -- Giles holding a crossbow and another episode with Jenny, respectively. And in keeping with the spirit of the season, we won't mention here how one actor's awkward acting dragged down an otherwise good episode.

All will be revealed in this week's Major Slayage!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 3 Episode 8 “Lovers Walk” is a fantastic episode (and Arik’s favoite of the season so far!) It has so much of what’s great about this show: amazing dialogue… shaky, unlikely alliances… incredible fights… emotional trauma… forbidden love… The Scoobies are shattered by the events of this installment, and something tells us the timing couldn’t be worse.

We get into all of it on this week’s Major Slayage!

This Buffy episode was an action packed thrill ride in which some secrets are brought to light while others stay buried — for now, anyway. Giles gets the “Mean Girls” treatment from a member of the Watchers Council, Willow and Xander are just BEGGING to get caught, Cordelia and Oz are criminally underutilized… and the entire fandom screams for Buffy and Faith to kiss!

Plus, Ket takes Arik to task for his peculiar taste in TV characters, as well as his lack of sports superstition. And they share a “passionate” debate about Xander’s argument tactics.

Fret not, children, as we break it all down in this week’s Major Slayage!
