What would we consider fair expectations for the Arizona State Sun Devils football team in 2022, particularly on the offensive side of the ball? The team is having to replace its starting quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and a tight end with not much proven talent returning from the 2021 squad. Sure, we are excited about the potential of quarterback Emory Jones and wide receiver Cam Johnson from the Florida Gators and Vanderbilt Commodores respectively to have big roles for the Arizona State Sun Devils offense in 2022, but what is returning that should give us hope? Bryan Thompson showed flashes during his time with the Utah Utes but did very little in his first season in Tempe, Arizona. An intriguing option at wide receiver for the Sun Devils would be Andre Johnson. Johnson has shown the capability to be a deep threat for Arizona State and we are hoping that he can finally put a full season together and build off that same potential. Host Richie Bradshaw gives his predictions on the third-year receiver's stats and gives some praise about what he could do in a larger role in this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.
