Unpopular opinion: Moms don't need to do more, start a side-hustle, join an MLM or start a playgroup in order to feel fulfilled.
Moms are bombarded with messages of how you can have and be more by taking a course, buying a product, joining a group or starting a business.
What if you don't need to do any more than you already are in order to feel fulfilled and feel purpose.
You are enough.
You can feel fulfilled today with what you are doing right now!
Take doing the dishes...is that a super fulfilling job? No. But, it is an act of love and you can feel fulfilled through acts of love for yourself and others. I don't know about you, but I don't like eating off a dirty plate; I much prefer them to be clean. So, I clean the dishes and find purpose and joy because I know I am taking care of myself and my family. And I know I won't have screaming toddler later on because there is a small piece of old, nasty food stuck to his plate (bonus!).
Find purpose in what you do on the daily. What is something you do regularly that you can find joy and purpose in?

Are you the "get sh*t done" Mom? Are you the fixer of all the things? Are you just so "busy?"
Being a Mom entails wearing lots of hats. You are chauffer, the chef, the cleaner, the "kiss my boo boo" person, the finder of lost shoes and much more.
But are you making yourself "busy" in order to avoid what is actually happening to to avoid feelings you don't want to face?
“I’ve always been very good at being numb. I’m the doer, the fixer, the one to take charge. It keeps my mind off what is actually happening so I don’t have to face the sadness.”
- Kristin Woodson Harvey, Secret to Southern Charm
It's easy to get lost in the busyness of it all. To keep the calendar full, scroll social media, shop and drink instead of facing the what is going on inside yourself and your emotions.
Take a moment today to write down one feeling or situation you are avoiding and what you are doing to avoid it.

Being a SAHM can feel like your brain isn't getting the stimulation it needs at times. Your patience is surely getting lots of exercise, but your mind can feel like it's turning to mush!
As a SAHM you also get an amazing perk you may not be awake of...focus!
Do you remember when "multitasking" was all the rage? When everyone wrote, "ability to multitask" on their resume.
Now we know that taking on 5 different tasks at the same time isn't all its cracked up to be. It is overwhelming and you aren't able to give your full attention and abilities to each task.
A SAHM improves your focus by allowing you to put your energy towards being a SAHM. While you focus on being a SAHM this allows your husband or partner to put their focus into their work.
The more you focus on one task or one area, the more you can become proficient at it and become an expert. Thus saving you time and energy.
While being a SAHM involves juggling lots of ball and certainly some multitasking in there; it also give you the gift of focusing on your family.
In a time when moms are bombarded with message of "Mom can do it all!" know that doing it all is also being a SAHM.
What can you focus on today and pick really, really great at. Pick 1 action, focus on it and be the expert today!

Do you love a list? Are you a person that gets excited when you get to cross off your to-dos?
Do you want to know how you can get even more excited about your list, feel more productive and get more done? We got you!
There is a reason you get so excited to cross of actions on your to-do list. Each time you complete an action and check it off you get a hit of dopamine. Dopamine is the feel good hormone your body releases. So not only does it feel good to complete the task, but you feel even better getting this extra release of dopamine when you mark it as complete.
We can utilize this bodily system to our advantage and check off more things, WITHOUT doing more!
Next time you create your list; break it down into chunks.
Instead of "do laundry" break it down.
My laundry
Husband's laundry
Kid 1 laundy
Kid 2 laundry
And to get even more dopamine and excitement running through you. You can breakdown laundry even further into:
Wash
Dry
Fold
So now instead of marking 1 action off your list and just getting that dopamine one time. You can get it up to 12 times! Each time you check it off you get a bit more excited and motivated.
Give it a try today and feel more productive without actually doing more!

Do you ever feel you aren't enough? Like you should be doing more? That at this point, you should be more and have more?
You are enough and you have enough.
You can be grateful for what you have now and who you are right now and still want to be better tomorrow and in the future. You are enough now and you will be enough tomorrow.
You are where you are meant to be. This doesn't mean you have to be completely satisfied with where you at this exact moment; there is always room to become a better version of you. But know that no matter where you are and what you have, you are enough.
Repeat the MamAffirmation today: I am enough, I have enough. Believe this words. Believe you are enough. You are worthy. You are where you are meant to be. And you can still go get more!

Do you get a ton of stuff done during the day, but then at the end of they day you don't really FEEL like you got anything done. You didn't feel joy in it.
Getting things done does feel good, don't get me wrong! I love making the check mark on my list! And there is a reason for it - you get a little hit of dopamine, the feel good hormone in your body. So, in fact, it really does feel good. But much like new car smell it tends to wear off.
As moms we are often focused on getting things done and there are things that need getting done. But you also need a sense of purpose.
Purpose is what brings you joy and that keeps that feel good lasting far longer!
Productivity is about getting things done.
Purpose is about what brings you joy and serves you and others.
And how you can make productive activities feel purposeful too!

“It was, as it always had been, my mother who gave me this incredible strength and inner peace, my mother who lent me fortitude when I needed it most. It was then that I realized it. Sometimes, being a mother isn’t about having to fix it. Sometimes, the best thing a mother can be is there at all.”
― Kristy Woodson Harvey, The Secret to Southern Charm
Book Recommendations
As a mom we like to fix things, but often it isn't the fixing that kids are looking for. They are looking for mom to be there; hold them, love them, make them feel secure.
You value and the value of people in your life doesn't depend on how much they make or what they fix for you. We see value in people for who they are and how they care for us and others.

What you think you are worth is how people will treat you!
Everyone has a price! You may not want to move at all, ever again; but if someone came knocking on your door offering 4x the value on your home...that might be your price and you start packing up!
When it comes to price as a person, or your value, you decide it. Based off of your value you've assigned this is how people will react and treat you.
Take online nutrition coaching - many people are similar but one coach may charge $100/mo and another $1,000. They each decided the price, their value, and their clients react to the value they set.
You don't want to miss the action today either!

Calling all SAHM! Have you ever felt less valuable because you aren't making any money (or not making much)?
Have you ever felt you aren't worthy of the new dress or shoes because you aren't the one that makes the money?
This was something I struggled so much with when I first became a SAHM. I felt my needs and me, as a person, were not as valuable anymore because I was no longer contributing financially to my family.
But your value has nothing to do with money. As a SAHM you are extremely valuable! If you weren't there who would do everything that you do? The day to day tasks add up and show that you love and take care of your family.
There is far more to being valuable that how much money you make.
What are the things that you do really well that don't involve money?

I decide my value!
Too many moms out there rely on others, money, status, titles, cars, houses, productivity to dictate their value when there is only ONE person who decides your value. That person is YOU!
You decide your worth and value. You are worthy because you are here. You don't need to do anything more to be more more valuable and worthy. You need to believe you are valuable and worthy.
If you get to decide how valuable you really are; then why not reach high?
