The holiday season (Thanksgiving thru New Years) should be a wonderful time of year. It will not be without its pressures or unpleasant moments, but it can be a time where we are able to focus on what is truly important in life while resetting for the year to come. But this will never happen if we don't plan.

This week I am sharing an episode of the March or Die Show that was originally published last year because there are some truths we need to be reminded of every holiday season. On this episode I share 3 areas that you need to prepare if you are really going to make this the BEST time of the year. The simple act of preparation can make this a year to remember!

This episode was originally published December 7, 2022

What is true Biblical Masculinity? What makes a Man different than just an adult Male? What is our guide for defining and understanding this and why is real masculinity such a challenge in today's culture? This week on "The March or Die Show" I have the privilege of interviewing Jim Ramos who is the founder of the Men in the Arena ministry. Through his podcast, books, and ministry to men across the country, Jim has spent much of his life thinking and speaking on this exact topic. In a world as confused as the one we are all living in, this is an important conversation for anyone seeking to understand God's purpose for their life.

During this holiday season we know that we are supposed to be thankful. So, in the spirit of the holiday, we take time out from the frustration and anger we often feel at work and express thanksgiving over a large meal around friends before getting frustrated and angry again when we go out to do our Christmas shopping! Somewhere I think we may have missed the true "spirit" of the season. Which is why this week on "The March or Die Show", I wanted to take a minute and share 5 Truths About Being Thankful. These five are true whether we feel thankful or not, but will hopefully help us to better understand, and express, a heart of gratitude. And this isn't just for the holiday that bears its name-Thanksgiving should, and can be, a part of our lives every day.

This last weekend I finally finished the 22 for 22 Challenge! For those of you that have not been following along, this means that I ran 22 marathons, for a total of 576 miles, in 22 days. There was so much that went into this and so many lessons learned along the way. Today, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some of those lessons with you. It is amazing what you can learn when you spend that much time running!

One of the big lessons that I have been learning over the last few weeks is that comparing myself to others is an empty exercise. When I see what others are doing it can, if I am not careful, make me feel as though I am not doing enough. What all of us should do, though, is ask the questions, "Am I doing all that I can, with what I have, where I am?" The answer to that question truly reveals whether or not we are living up to our God given potential. Join me as I discuss this as well as some updates from the ongoing 22 for 22 challenge.

What motivates you to keep going when keeping your commitments get's really hard? How do you decide whether a job is worth finishing or one that should be abandoned? This week I share a lesson that I was reminded of while running the Marine Corps Marathon. I am in the middle of running 22 marathons in 22 days and along the way have learned (or been reminded) of quite a few great lessons. Todays? Don't Stop. Whether you like it or not, people are watching.

"Is there not a cause?" This was the statement from David, the future King of Israel when he was facing a seemingly insurmountable battle. He knew that there are some causes so big that there is no cost we should be unwilling to pay. This week on The March or Die Show, I share some thoughts that I have had as I work to run 22 marathons in 22 days, beginning with the importance of understanding the cause!

Have you ever felt like an imposter? Not that you were trying to be intentionally deceptive, but that you were afraid if others found out what you are really like they may just walk away? Believe it or not, we have all felt this way at one time or another. Regardless of where you are in your life or relationships, it is possible to feel like an imposter. But what do you do when this feeling creeps in? How do you move forward when you don't feel like you really belong? This week on The March or Die Show, I discuss the reality of "Imposter Syndrome" and the keys to accepting who you are and moving forward with confidence.
