This week on The March or Die Show, I have the privilege of speaking with the Sheriff of Riverside County, CA, Sheriff Chad Bianco. With 30 years of Law Enforcement experience and currently leading one of the largest Sheriff's Departments in the country, Sheriff Bianco understands the unique challenges faced by today's Law Enforcement Professionals and the personal cost they pay for standing up against evil and chaos. After providing perspective on these challenges, we discuss the need for faith, the elements of a resilient life and how the community can support those who keep us safe.
Whether you are a Law Enforcement Officer in need of encouragement, or someone that needs a deeper understanding of what these men and women do for those they serve, you will be helped by this incredible interview. Very grateful to Sheriff Bianco for his time and patience as he worked through my MANY questions and for his example of character and leadership in our state. Listen, share, and listen again!

What does it mean to have a "Growth Mindset" with an Eternal perspective? While I believe we should spend our lives growing and learning, we need to do so with a view of eternity in mind. We grow and we learn so that we can fully be what an Eternal God with and Eternal purpose created us to be. How do we do that? Find out this week on The March or Die Show.

When we lose someone who has had an impact on our lives, it can be difficult to know how to respond. We may feel a sense of loss, but also a sense of dread and uncertainty about what to do next. It is important to remember that these people who have had an impact on us have made a difference in the world, and it is important to honor them for that. This week on The March or Die Show we will discuss how we can live lives that honor those that have made a difference in ours. Instead of just feeling loss, we need to learn how to turn that loss into the motivation to fill the gap they have left behind.

What is the craziest story in all of the Bible? There are actually quite a few crazy stories in the Bible, but I believe that this one is right near the top. Today on The March or Die Show, we are going to look at the story of a Lady who killed a General with a tent peg (which is enough of a reason to listen), while also learning how to move from an observer to a person of action in our own lives. It is easy to stand back and watch all that is happening in the world, good and bad, but there comes a time in all of our lives when we need to, as author Robert Luis said, "Reject passivity, accept responsibility, and lead courageously." How do we do that? We learn from one of the toughest women in the Bible.

Often when we think about pushing forward, "March or Die", we think that we need to forget the hurt or pain that we may be experiencing. We think that if we just keep going, or grinding, or driving, or whatever term is currently popular in motivational videos, then we can pretend that everything is fine even when it isn't. While I am all for pushing hard and refusing to quit, that is not the same thing as failing to address the very real challenges we all experience. In fact, the only way that we can continue to "March", is by confronting those challenges so that we can keep moving forward. Today on the show I want to spend just a few minutes talking about what this looks like. How do we deal with the obstacles, and in fact learn and grow from them, while also putting one foot in front of the other? Let's look at three words that make this possible.

Why do some people seem to handle the transitions of life so well while others fall apart? What is the difference between a lifetime of service and purpose and serving others only because it is your job? Today on The March or Die Show I have the privilege of sharing a recent interview with Retired Army Green Beret JP Cervantes. After a successful career in Army Special Operations, JP has continued to serve both as a professional starting his own business, and as a Non-profit leader representing many in the veteran community who are struggling. In this interview we discuss purpose while serving and how we can renew that purpose after a major life transition. This conversation was helpful to me personally, and will be a help to you as well.

Regret can be a powerful emotion that can keep us from moving forward. We all experience regret to some degree in our lives, whether it be regret for something we have done in the past, or for something that was done to us. Regardless of the source, regret can become overwhelming and can have a negative impact on our ability to do what God has called us to do.
When we allow regret to keep us in the past, it can be like a chain that pins us down and holds us back. We can become so focused on what happened years ago that we don't look forward and we don't move forward. We can regret the things we have done to others, the decisions we have made, or the trauma we have experienced. We can even regret missed opportunities, such as in relationships, business, or financially. The big question is "How do we overcome Regret"?
Today on the March or Die Show I offer ten steps you can take to overcome and begin moving forward with hope and purpose.

How do you live out your Faith in an environment that is not exactly "faith affirming"? Is it possible to be both a consistent Christian and an effective workplace leader? Even though we often choose to believe that we need to either be good at our job or be an outgoing person of faith, with the right tools and the character to apply them, it is not only possible, but we have BEEN CALLED to do both! Today's guest on The March or Die Show is someone who understands this from a place of life experience. Command Sergeant Major Demetris Prewitt has spent his life leading at a very high level in the United States Army, but has also made a priority of publicly and faithfully living out his faith. And, in order to equip others to be consistent in their faith walk, he has recently written a book that helps to lay the foundation for a consistent Christian life. If you are someone who has struggled to live out your faith in the workplace or simply need to better understand why you believe what you believe, this episode will be a great encouragement. Listen all the way through, share with someone else, and then follow the link below for more.

While we can come up with so many reasons to stop moving forward in our lives, the truth is that many of these reasons exist only in our own hearts and minds! We look at our past and conclude that we are too broken or feel that we don't DESERVE to move forward because we consistently make bad decisions. Today on The March or Die Show, we look at a man in the Old Testament who had a past that could have been an episode of Jerry Springer, made a really bad decision even after God decided to use him, but made an impact on his world IN SPITE OF his past and bad decisions. I love looking at many of these Old Testament characters because they give me hope. What I learn is that if I will just keep moving forward I can make an impact as well. From this little known man in the Bible we learn some incredible lessons. I hope that you will be encouraged to stop making excuses and begin to move forward.
