Today I’m joined by Matthew Johnson, better known as Matty J. Matty first rose to fame here in Australia on The Bachelorette, before stepping into the spotlight as The Bachelor. It was during this journey that he met the love of his life, Laura Byrne. Today, Matty and Laura are married with three beautiful daughters and are widely considered one of Australia’s most successful reality TV love stories.

In this conversation, Matty opens up about growing up in a big family and the strong influence of his mum. We talk about the “sliding doors” moment when he met Laura, and he shares honestly about the challenges he faced supporting her through the early stages of parenthood.

We also dive into more personal topics, including miscarriage, his close friendship with Ash from Two Doting Dads, and just how much he truly loves being a dad.
