MCMF

It's a special three-person booth for episode 19, with Jessie and Will joining the show to talk about ACADEMY X: X-POSED and NEW X-MEN: CHILDHOOD'S END!

Marcus and Manny race to another time to talk about POWER RANGERS: SINS OF THE FUTURE! Set after the events of Power Rangers Time Force, this graphic novel features Jen Scotts, the Pink Time Force Ranger, as she tries to maintain the ultimate long distance relationship with Red Ranger Wes Collins, and handle all the time paradoxes that come with it.

For episode 17 of MCMF, Marcus is joined by X-Men newbie Chloe to talk about GIANT SIZE X-MEN #1, also known as SECOND GENESIS! Released in 1975, this story by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum reintroduced the X-Men back into regular publication after being in reprints for the previous five years. It features Charles Xavier putting together a new team of X-Men to rescue their predecessors after the original X-Men disappear on the living island Krakoa.

Gary returns to the show to talk with Marcus about IMMORTAL IRON FIST: THE 7 CAPITAL CITIES OF HEAVEN, by Matt Fraction, Ed Brubaker and David Aja.

Released in 2007, this story spans issues #8-14 of Immortal Iron Fist and features Danny Rand in a tournament against the other Immortal Weapons for the fate of K'un Lun while also uncovering the secrets of the mystical city he calls home.

For the third time, Jake joins Marcus on MCMF, this time to talk about issues 21-25 of Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky's comedy series SEX CRIMINALS! Also, a non-negligible amount of time is spent reading adult entertainers' Wikipedia pages.

For episode 14 of MCMF, Marcus and Alex sit down to read ALL-STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER. Written by Frank Miller of THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and SIN CITY fame, this story is an alternate retelling of how Dick Grayson came to become Batman's partner in crime-fighting.

It is also very bad.

Marcus and Manny reunite to talk SPIDER-MAN: BLUE on episode 13 of MCMF. Created by famed duo Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, BLUE features an older Peter Parker reflecting upon his college days with Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn; how the delicate balancing act of being Spider-Man almost cost him his chance to fall in love with the former, and how it ultimately cost Gwen her life.

For episode 12 of MCMF, Marcus and his longtime friend Luu sit down to talk about FIND YOUR WAY HOME, the first arc of the 2017 relaunch of Runaways. Written by Rainbow Rowell and drawn by Kris Anka, this story takes place two years after the cliffhanger ending of the 2008 Runaways series, focusing on the eponymous group reforming after the return of their once-dead friend Gertrude Yorkes.

Strap in for another long one as Marcus and Jessie go through the 2010 miniseries AVENGERS: THE CHILDREN'S CRUSADE! Starring the Young Avengers, this 9-issue story focuses on Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, as he tries to find Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, who has been missing since the end of HOUSE OF M.

Will returns to the show to talk about the 2001 limited series STATIC SHOCK: REBIRTH OF THE COOL! Released to coincide with the launch of the Static Shock cartoon, Rebirth of the Cool was an attempt to revive the Milestone comics universe four years after the sudden cancellation of every title in the line, and features 15 year old Virgil Hawkins once again taking the name Static to save the heroes of Dakota City from a new threat.

(Note: Will's microphone decided to bite the dust halfway through the episode. We made it work the best we could, but there are some lingering issues.)
