Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you knew you should be leaving or ending a bad relationship but you find yourself staying? And the reason you stay is because you tend to make up all these excuses about why it’s better to stay. These can include excuses like:
it’s better than no relationship at all
it’s better than sleeping in an empty bed
it’s better than being alone and feeling lonely
being half-loved is better than not having any love at allOr, you tell yourself, “But you love them” or “You’ve been through so much together”
Or, you simply wonder: ‘what if this is the last chance at my happily ever after?’
You worry whether you’d actually find anyone better than this person because, despite the poor treatment, they do treat you well – sometimes.
But have you ever wondered that, while you’re so worried about whether you can actually find someone better out there after this person, sometimes being alone could be the upgrade?
In this episode, I outline some key signs to look out for that indicate that maybe being alone is better – and it gets really personal.
