Florida State and the ACC notified Leon County that their mediation period ended and no settlement has been reached. They met for one day of mediation on August 13th but could not find common ground. Does this mean there will not be a settlement? Not necessarily. While the mediation itself was fruitless, they mentioned in their court document that the two sides will keep communication open for a possible settlement in the future. Meanwhile, a report claims Florida State has already paid $2.7 million in legal fees.
Hosts Alex Donno and Kenton Gibbs discuss the update on mediation and debate which side has more to gain and more to lose between FSU and The ACC. The guys discuss a prediction from Greg McElroy that has Miami beating Florida State for the ACC Championship. Kenton has his doubts. Can Mario Cristobal prove him wrong? The guys break down a wild story about a former Colorado staffer attempting to ink the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund to an NIL deal for the Buffaloes. Could overseas oil money soon become a reality in college athletics?
