  • What Poor Logic Means to Saving a Life

This is the tough spot when you have poor logic informing your every decision in hopes it will verify your story.

This happened to me as I was helping another person with their suicidal tendencies. The person in question has some very poor logic and an attachment to a story that was too scary for him to release. Suffice to say, this caused him more problems than he cared to admit, where he had to keep altering the story in order to make my logic fit his narrative.

The danger is real. See what stories you're telling yourself and know there is something you've built up over time that doesn't quite match up.

  • Stop Using the Wrong Measuring Stick

How often do we believe we're using the right measuring stick when it turns out we were completely wrong the entire time? This is what I ran into while living, not to mention working in my career. Sometimes you have to take pride in knowing you are a human being and with being human, you are quite messy.

    And that is okay.

  • Why I Choose Not to Change My Life

This one is a bit darker, but it is a clear vision of people who suffer with trauma, depression, and anxiety. These words are ones you'll never hear from your friends because of the shame behind it, but they linger when you least expect.

  • The Negative Charge on a Piece of Paper

If there is one thing the human mind is great at, it is attaching a certain meaning to inanimate objects. This episode touches on those moments, including the backstory of a family fallen apart due to hiding trauma from each other and making things worse instead of better.

This is going to be a LONG life, my friend...

  • Control is a Terrible Lie we Abuse for our Sanity

This episode is about my control issues and how it is a detriment to my ability to be a human being. A flubbed appointment, the wrong paperwork and a poorly used day off add to a terrible moment in life where I am a massive failure because of my arrogance.

  • When Your Expectations Make You Angry

This past week was recovery for me as I suffered pneumonia, but it also shed some light on my situation and how I felt about everything overall. The people I expected to check in on me didn't care and the people that I didn't expect to do anything stepped up to the plate and helped.

This isn't about the people who stepped up, this is about the people who didn't. In the end, it is my fault I was so worked up and I have to admit I fell into the trap. Instead, this is my little vent about the situation and what I could have done to make things better for me.
