  • Facing Our Scary Storm One Drop at a Time

While it didn't hail, it still rained while I recorded this episode. It is still a good metaphor for what comes to us all when we face our depression, anxiety, or anything else in our lives. The manic state of the storm dictates to us how we'll survive. We just have to listen.

  • Are We Scared of Breaking the Depression Loop?

I'm in a depressed place being in a depressed state while I wait for a depressed mate to give me a depressed clean slate.

Part of that isn't true, but part of it is. I talk about the loop and the spiral down that we as depressed people often face as we go through our lives. We feed into it without even seeing it for what it is, so it would be best for us to work this over and make sure we're in the clear when we break our bonds of depressive action

Fair warning: Still sick so there is some sniffling and voice cracking. It's like I am hitting puberty at age 42

  • Is There Ever a Limit on Being Depressed?

This one came up from a quote someone said on a podcast a while ago. It was an old, dying celebrity doing an interview with another celeb about how fortunate their lives were and how they were able to "get over" their depression and abuse.

I'm here to counter than statement with my own view as a man who has faced his abuse and depression head on. SPOILER: There is no "getting over it," as it were.

  • How to Trust your Future Depressed Self

If there is one thing we tend to struggle with as depressed people, it is the ability to set the table for our future selves. We get caught up in the imperfections and our pasts that we can't see how well the future will be for us.

This is why I've started to think of myself more like a business. If I know I don't want to change things up, I know it is better for the business if I do. I know the work I put in now will help my future depressed self be better, feel better, and do better.

Listen to this sick boy as he blathers on about this and less!

  • Do You Believe This Podcast Should Continue?

It was about this many episodes in when I recorded the Classic versions and I walked away. This time around, with all the listens and all the feedback, I think we'll still be here for another episode or 16.

When you look back on your life, don't always get caught up in how imperfect it was. Instead, look at how far you came and understand how much further you can go into the future!

This one comes in two halves so prepare your most of you for the following:

    1. What is depression and how can I define it for a modern world where social media knows what my colon health is like?

    2. How do I work with people who want me to hide my skills for their anxiety?

If you like this super episode, let me know! I might do more down the road, but your feedback is needed! Let me know on the following sites:

  • A Depressive Superpower

You might believe you don't have a super power, but you'd be surprised what people see in you that you can't see in yourself. This one touches on the visual memory I have and how I used it to help one of my closest friends.

  • What is Love? Don't Depress Me No More

On this manufactured day, it is best to remember that love is a 365 day process. Don't buy into the false holiday, and don't let it trigger you either. Do what you do best, and that is care for yourself first.

  • What Matters To The Depressed

I talk about the one podcast that helped save my life and my career, and it is not going to be the one you think. Still, my life is my career, so you might have guessed it already. If you need help, there are plenty of tools out there to help set you straight and give you ideas to work with for a better future for you and your loved ones.

  • The Depression Tax

There is nothing quite like having to work with your taxes to trigger your depression. Granted, that's probably me for how much I've suffered under the money yoke, but I'll take it for what it is worth.

You want to do more? Please do.

Just remember you're not obligated to be successful because someone told you to do it.
