  • Why I Wear a Mask

Don't let anyone tell you different: Masks are fine. We all wear masks and we put them on every time we work, interact with people, or even have quiet time alone. I talk about my masks and how I use them to function every day (and chide those who make a quick dollar to shame mask wearers).

If you have a moment, please share this with someone who needs it and leave a rating on your favorite podcast retriever.

  • Why I Don't Write

It is that time of year when I consider being insane. Doing the same thing repeatedly and getting the same result is insanity, right? This applies to my writing and how I view it. Between bullying, being sexually harassed, and lack of trust with anyone looking at my material, it is quite difficult to do this. Yet, somehow, it has to get better...right?

  • Why I am Always Fighting Change

This world is full of change, but for me and many like me, we fight it every day because we can't stand change. Yet, through change is how we get to another level. This episode is how I view change and how I want to work with it.

Please share this episode with someone who is struggling with change and let them know someone is in their corner rooting them on.

  • Good Deeds, Bad Rewards

When you do well, you are rewarded. What are you rewarded with when you remain silent and play by other's rules? In the case of an abuse victim, more abuse and more silence. I share my story of being silent and my encounter with a major quote that will linger with me for some time.

  • The Rules of Friendship for the Depressed

When you hear someone say it is hard to make friends, this is what they are talking about. Meeting people is fine, trusting people is difficult. It is even worse when you are dealing with anxiety or depression as your brain is merely doing what you asked: To keep you safe. This is my story about this situation and how I feel.

  • The Music of My Depression

This one was tough to talk about because it brings up my audio habits and applies them to my depressive mind-state. Yes, what you listen to can always change your mood, but the "when" you listen to is always harder. This one was about lost dreams, hopes of a younger me, and the lost time we never get back.

  • Using my tools / Taking them away

I was caught in a rainstorm and was soaked, but I used my mental centering tools to get through it and make it home safe. Why do I bring this up? Because people will tell you coping tools can be toxic. Beware the people who tell you this because they are looking for something from you, not looking to help you.

  • Denying our age

The downside of a bad economy is the loss of human dignity. When the economy hits, the elderly lose their homes. I was homeless a long time ago and I remember how terrible it was as a child. Now I look at it and see how we as a society look at our own lifespan and how we deal with it - by hiding it and ignoring it. This episode is about my feelings on that situation.

  • Breaking my Rules To Honor My Friend

This is a tribute to my friend Joe and his fight with cancer, but it is also an acknowledgment that rules set by us can be broken by us and the world will still keep spinning.

    Cancer sucks!

  • Grateful For You, My Listeners

I admit it. After almost 50 episodes and two "seasons," I'm amazed by you. I appreciate you. I am glad you are here and you've allowed me to wax on about the state of depression and what I deal with. I am looking forward to doing more as we go, but I couldn't stop until I said thank you first.

    So, thank you!
