Melissa Rivers' Group Text Podcast

It’s part 2 of the conversation you’ve all been asking for with Kathy Griffin and trust me, I go there.  Kathy joins me at my house for a brutally honest chat about her latest special, “My Life on the PTSD List”; the fallout from the infamous picture and what was really going on behind the scenes; how she dealt with divorce for a second time; overcoming addiction to pills and so much more!  Plus, a show and tell of the items she just had to have from my mom’s recent auction.  This is definitely one for the books!

When you describe a standup comedian, you typically don’t use words like “easygoing” and “laid-back,” however, that’s exactly what I’d say about Larry the Cable Guy. Larry joins me to talk about his hilarious new comedy special, “It’s a Gift” (available on Prime Video September 12) and his long career. He tells me how his own life is his greatest source of material; about going on stage in his early days as Dan Whitney (his real name), and how the character of Larry the Cable Guy came to be.

The last time I filled you in on what was happening in my personal life, I had lost my home in the Palisades fire and was about to get married again, something I swore I would never do!  From settling into our new house to the vacation from hell to working on a new documentary about my mom, it’s been quite a busy summer for me to say the least.  Be sure to tune-in as I share all the ups and downs on that and more on this week’s "Group Text".

In their new docuseries, “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality” (new episodes air September 1 and 2 at 8/7c on Lifetime), Executive Producers Jesse Daniels and Farnaz Farjam provide an unfiltered look at the lives of the popular Chrisley family after Todd and Julie’s pardon for bank fraud and tax evasion. The duo explains how their series differs vastly from “Chrisley Knows Best,” the hard creative choices they had to make as reality-tv producers, and how the Chrisley family had to hide knowing about the investigation, even while cameras were rolling.
