完美人生 The Perfect Life

Once a circle missed a wedge. The circle wanted to be whole, so it went around looking for its missing piece.
从前，一个圆圈缺了一块楔子。它想保持完整，便四处寻找那块楔子。


But because it was incomplete and therefore could roll only very slowly, it admired the flowers along the way. It chatted with worms. It enjoyed the sunshine.
由于不完整，所以它只能慢慢地滚动。一路上，它对花儿露出羡慕之色；它与蠕虫谈天侃地；它还欣赏到了阳光之美。


It found lots of different pieces, but none of them fit. So it left them all by the side of the road and kept on searching.
圆圈找到了许多不同的楔子，但没有一件与它相配。所以，它将它们统统弃置路旁，继续寻觅。


Then one day the circle found a piece that fit perfectly. It was so happy. Now it could be whole, with nothing missing.
终于有一天，它找到了一个完美的配件。圆圈是那样的高兴，现在它可以说是完美无缺了。


It incorporated the missing piece into itself and began to roll. Now that it was a perfect circle, it could roll very fast, too fast to notice flowers or talk to the worms.
它装好缺失的那部分，并开始滚动起来。现在它已成了一个完美的圆圈，所以滚动得非常快，以至于难以欣赏花儿，也无暇与蠕虫倾诉心声。



When it realized how different the world seemed when it rolled so quickly, it stopped, left its found piece by the side of the road and rolled slowly away.
当圆圈意识到因快速疾驰而失去了原有的世界时，它停了下来，将找到的配件弃置路旁，又开始慢慢地滚动。


The lesson of the story, I suggested, was that in some strange sense we are more whole when we are missing something.
我觉得这个故事告诉我们，从某种奇妙的意义上讲，当我们失去一些东西时反而更加完美。

The man who has everything is in some ways a poor man. He will never know what it feels like to yearn, to hope, to nourish his soul with the dream of something better.
一个拥有一切的人其实在某个方面是个穷人。他永远体会不到什么是渴望、期待及如何用美好的梦想滋养自己的灵魂。


He will never know the experience of having someone who loves him give him something he has always wanted or never had.
他也永远不会有这样一种体验：一个爱他的人送给他某种梦寐以求的或者从未拥有过的东西，意味着什么。


There is a wholeness about the person who has come to terms with his limitations, who has been brave enough to let go of his unrealistic dreams and not feel like a failure for doing so.
人生的完整性在于知道如何面对缺陷，如何勇敢地摒弃不现实的幻想而又不以此为缺憾；



There is a wholeness about the man or woman who has learned that he or she is strong enough to go through a tragedy and survive, he or she can lose someone and still feel like a complete person.
人生的完整性还在于学会勇敢面对人生悲剧而继续活下去，能够在失去亲人后依然表现出完整的个人风范。


Life is not a trap set for us by God so that he can condemn us for failing. Life is not a spelling puzzle, where no matter how many words you have gotten right, you're disqualified if you make one mistake.
人生不是上帝为谴责我们的缺陷而给我们布下的陷阱。人生也不是一场拼字游戏比赛，不管你拼出多少单词，一旦出现了一个错误，你便前功尽弃。


Life is more like a baseball season, where even the best team loses one third of its games and even the worst team has its days of brilliance. Our goal is to win more games than we lose.
人生更像是一个棒球赛季，即使最好的球队也会输掉1/3的比赛，而最差的球队也有春风得意的日子。我们的目标就是多赢球、少输球。


When we accept that imperfection is part of human, and when we can continue rolling through life and appreciate it, we will have achieved a wholeness that others can only aspire to.
当我们接受不完整性是人类本性的一部分，当我们不断地滚动前行并能欣赏其价值时，我们就会获得其他人仅能渴望的完整人生。


That, I believe, is what God asks of us—not 'Be perfect', not“Don't even make a mistake”,
but “Be whole.
我相信这就是上帝对我们的要求：不求"完美”，也不求“不犯错误”，而是求得人生的“完整”。


If we are brave enough to love, strong enough to forgive, generous enough to rejoice in another's happiness, and wise enough to know there is enough love to go around for us all, then we can achieve a fulfillment that no other living creature will ever know.
如果我们勇敢得能够去爱，坚强得能够宽容，大度得能够去为别人的快乐而高兴，明智得能够理解身边充满爱，那么我们就能取得别人所不能取得的成就。

I'm in my late twenties.


I used to get up at 12 o'clock in the afternoon and now 7 o'clock in the morning.I used to go to bed in the midnight and now 11 o'clock in the night.



I'm in my late twenties. At work,I begin to contact different people.



I'm in my late twenties.When you meet relatives and friends,they no longer ask you what scores you get in the school. Instead, they ask you how much money you make every month,and whether you are married or not.



I'm in my late twenties.Our chatting topics changed from online games to cars, houses.When having dinner, we always talk about when is he or she getting married.



I'm in my late twenties.I no longer splash my money. Instead, I start to manage my account at the end of each month.Making note of how much have I spent and how much is left after paying my credit card. It's time to save some money for the house.


I'm in my late twenties.I’m getting tired of hanging around bars and KTVs.Being close to nature and a healthy living style is my favorite now.



I'm in my late twenties.Sometimes, I feel lonely, and sometimes, I miss someone.



I'm in my late twenties.We start chasing our dreams.We hide our tears and we don't give up for that little setback.



I'm in my late twenties.We are no longer as wild as when we were young.We treat all the adversities as part of our life and we try to tolerate and to embrace this life.



I'm in my late twenties.We always reminisce, realizing so many mistakes we’ve made and so many detours we’ve taken.We always regret, but there is no turning back, back to the age of innocence we once lived in.



Whenever we are over whelmed by some invisible pressure from society,we crave for the love we once had, we crave for the person that we once eat dinner and watch movies together after work.We all need someone to share things with in our life.



We are on a great journey.We need someone to be there for us when we are tired and want to give up.



Whenever we realize that there is someone we miss so much deep inside, take a deep breath and carry on for I believe there is always a shelter for my soul.


When we are alone, we don’t go tocybercafé, instead, we login in mobile QQ in stealth mode.


When we see some friend online, we put ourselves in a dilemma, struggling about whether we should make a conversation or not.



We refresh our Qzone page again and again to see who just updated their status and journals, who replied with emoji instead of sentences.



I'm in my late twenties.We no longer complain when we get upset. Instead, being still, we watch and listen, this realistic yet hypocritical world.

I'm in my late twenties. Actually crying on the inside, but still smiling on the outside. Actually wanting to stay, but still insisting to leave without hesitation. Actually being in great pain, but still claiming that you are happy.

Don't envy them or mock them
They are in their TIME ZONE, and you are in yours
Life is about waiting for the right moment to act

他们都在自己的时区里，你也是
生命就是等待正确的行动时机

你生活中的人们



People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

人们走进你的生活，或者是为了一个原因，或者他们只停留一段时期，或者他们永远与你相随。一旦明晓其中究竟，你就知道该如何面对他们了。


When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. Sometimes they die. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. Your need has been answered, and now it is time to move on.

有的人出现在你的生活中是有原因的，通常他们填补了你流露出来的需要：帮你渡过难关，指点和支持你，切实地在情感上、精神上帮助你。他们出现是因为你需要他们。然后在一个你无可引咎而又不便的时候，这人说了什么或者做了什么令你们终止了友谊。有时候他们离你而去，有时候他们冒出歪理而逼得你要奋起反抗，有时候是因为他们逝世。我们必需认识到，自己的需要已经满足了，愿望已经实现了，他们的工作也就完成了。你的需要得到了回应，接着的是要继续前行。

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

有的人在你的生活中只会停留一段时期，那是因为你到了这样的一个时候：成长、学习，并和别人一起分享你的世界。他们让你体会平和，也让你欢笑。他们可能也教会你做一些从没做过的事情。他们常能给你带来无数欢乐。相信这一点！这是真的！可这，只能维持一段时间。

Mum Knows Best 妈妈最了解

When I was a tiny baby crying all night,my mom sang to me and stayed by my side.When I was tired and hungry,she gave me food and warm arms to sleep in.
当我是个小宝宝整夜哭闹的时候,妈妈依偎在我身旁,唱歌送我入梦乡.
当我累了饿了的时候,妈妈给我食物和休憩的温暖怀抱.


When I was two running through the field,she made sure I was safe and kept me from danger.When I fell and hurt myself,she gave me a hug and lifted me up.
当我两岁在田野里奔跑的时候,她确保我的安全,让我远离危险.
当我摔倒受伤的时候,她给我拥抱,扶我站好.


When I was seven coughing badly,she said no ice-cream for me.But I talked back loudly,―I should be allowed to eat some!Give it to me now!

When I was nine watching scary movies,she said it’d give me awful dreams.

Now I’m an adult,thinking back to those times.
I coughed for days after eating that ice-cream

And had scary dreams after watching that film.
I was late for school from staying out past ten.
看了恐怖电影让我噩梦连连.
上学迟到只因10点还在外游荡.


I regret talking back,not listening to Mom.
Mom knows best,and for me she wanted only the best!
我真后悔呀!后悔不该顶嘴,后悔没听妈妈的忠告.
妈妈最了解（孩子）,她只是想怎样对我最好!
