A few years back after having her 3rd child , she was suffering from severe PND (post natal depression) having had it with her first child, she kind of knew the symptoms, but she ignored the signs. WHY? She ignored them because she felt embarrassed, she felt like a failure before she had even started.
She hated her mind/body for allowing her to feel this way again (babies are meant to bring joy not sadness). She had a terrible diet, drank alcohol to relieve the stress, did virtually no exercise and she smoked.
Her health visitor referred her to the GP who put her on the highest strength of anti-depressants as a solution.
Never did she receive real advice, like how to look after herself, how to improve her nutrition, how to engage with her mind better through self healing practices like meditation/mindfulness, how to get active without the stress of hitting the gym or even connect with like minded women for whatever reason might be going through similar paradigms of life.
My guest this week is long awaited guest, one and only Sejal Patel founder and CEO OF WellNU Collective. This interview bought back memories not only for Sejal but also for myself too. I very much related to her throughout her interview and was inspired by her journey.
