Recently, while driving, an idea came to me. We don't have the ability to view failure as something beneficial if success and achievement are one of our top subconscious values. When this is the case, it's always binary. Win or lose, succeed or fail. There's never an ability to learn, because anything that isn't a success, is a failure. I used to be this way. This was the story of my youth. But after changing my core values with the help of Tony Robbins, I now have the ability to view "failures" as a lesson and something beneficial, rather than something that strips me of my identity. I recently sat down to talk to personal freedom and mindset coach, Jake Ward. I first connected with Jake after seeing his profile in a Tony Robbins UPW Facebook group. I later learned that Jake had a really tough upbringing, which lead him to stray down the wrong paths early in life. After being banned from every nightclub in Perth, having his girlfriend leave him and being over $40,000 in debt, Jake realised he had to make a change. His first step was to get on to Google and search "how to be successful?". From there, he discovered personal development and has been on an amazing road to recovery ever since, and has now gotten into the coaching space, where he helps others to transform their mindset and achieve personal freedom.
