Death with Dignity's goal is to ensure people with terminal illness can decide for themselves what a good death means in accordance with their values and beliefs. In order to utilize such a program, extensive criteria must be met, including being able to consent to the program on your own accord. The idea is to reduce pain and suffering for the individual and to let them take their autonomy back and pass away on their own terms.
Should the same right, to die with dignity, be afforded to those who cannot make these decisions on their own? Who is to decide that someones else's life isn't worth living? Join Lisa, Matt, Jules, and our very special guest Ryan as we unwind the heart-wrenching case of Robert and Tracy Latimer that shook Canada to its core. Is this a case of a loving, devoted father who wanted so desperately to end his daughters suffering or is this the act of a cold blooded man who had no regard for his daughters life?
