It was a rough night across the board for the New York Mets, falling in the second game of this series 5-1 to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

 Particularly, the bats had a tough go of it. They really were able to muster only one serious run-scoring opportunity. That came in the 3rd and Mets only turned it into one run. 

David Peterson was on the mound tonight, and wasn't as crisp as we've seen him this season. Not helping matters were the share of misplays defensive that fueled the D-backs taking the lead in the 4th. 

The Mets will turn to Kodai Senga tomorrow looking for the series win and the season series split before heading back home to start a series with the Chicago Cubs on Friday.
