Haven’t we all dreamed of riding the rough country on a quality horse gathering cows or following a pack of dogs trailing what seems to be an impossible track of a stock killer? We have the trusty six gun at our waist and lever gun stowed in a trail beaten scabbard. The smells of a mixture of horse sweat and harness oil is a standard and welcome odor to the olfactory. Crows feet border the squinted and focused eyes. Ears straining to hear the cold trailing of a hound anticipating the roar of the hounds indicating a jump race.
