On this week's episode of The Rural Woman Podcast™, you'll meet Rachel Hester.
Rachel Hester is the author of The Guide to Homestead Dairy Sheep, the only comprehensive resource on raising sheep for milk production. She resides on 8.5 acres in Central Kentucky with her husband and son. Rachel produces luxury soap from sheep milk and crafts yarn from their wool, which she both sells and uses to knit garments for her family. Her interest in sheep as dairy animals began during her work in Eastern Europe, where she learned traditional animal husbandry methods, which she now applies to her own flock. Rachel is dedicated to educating others about the often-overlooked health benefits of sheep's milk.
