True wisdom is knowing there is always room to learn and grow.
Learning has few curves:
Step- 1 - receiving the information and accepting it
Step-2 - Sharing with others
But why do we get injury onto our body? This is something I have been hearing from my students, such as injury or pains on their wrist, shoulder, back, knee or any other parts of their body.
Our body has the mind element which is through the sensory nerve. Every time if we injured there is a memory on our body, and thereafter when we do the same action that caused the injury, our body know how to protect themselves, and it tends to move the weight to another joint of our body. This is I called the body engineering system, as the body moves and may do many things with or without our knowledge.
If we have a great awareness then we may know what is happening but many of us do not have this awareness so we injure ourselves more and we keep seeking others' help to heal the injuries or pains, such as like doctor, therapist.
In my last episode I spoke about our existence of Pancho Kosha. Balance is the key factor in our physical body and our mind. When we experience stress in our mind, our mind transfer that stress onto our physical body, and unknowingly the body is in stress too, and when we move our body by exercising, yet the body may not know that it is already in stress. The lack of coherence between the body and the mind, and the body get penalised as our mind is much stronger than the body, and thats what I called compression, contraction or injury.
Other reason for any bodily injury is we are moving our body in the way that our body is not as it is, We are not moving the way our body is. Our mind has a super power and our mind takes over our body, and we do not know about it. Many time body listens to the mind, so if the mind and body do not have a proper balance then each time we may feel every of our action can cause damage to our body.
Our body language is sensation not instruction. All the time our body listening to our mind, and if our mind is not able to take the sensation of the body then it becomes one way traffic.
So keep your body joint healthy and balance that you can live in a happy body, then any injury you may have you can heal yourself.
A happy body is a happy mind!
The true wisdom is always learning to grow. Often I receive questions from my students why they get injured in yoga or other sports. Surprising when trying to understand their injuries, I realised most of the time when they said they are injured, in fact they are not injured. It is just an "awareless" sensation in their body which they called as injury. Every injury is unique in our body, and each of our injury is very different from one to another. Most of our injury is on the superficial fascia and deep fascia, which most of it can be healed by ourselves by resting and doing traction or breathing to heal the muscles.
We move our body based on our mind, we do not move our body they way they are. To move our body the way we are, it is based on our mind. Balancing between the mind and body is the key, but how do we find the balance? Breathing is the key, and most of our problems in our body are asymmetric, that is the reason for most of our problems.
In this new episode, I am sharing my life experience in human body's yoga or sports injury, where and why we may have injured in our physical body and the knowledge behind the injury and healing techniques.
This is my first podcast , so i will share more about myself that you get to know more about me.
I am from India, born and grew up in a small village, and last 16 years I am residing in Singapore. According to my mother I was very naughty as a child, so she introduced me to yoga at a very young age. I always believe things happen for reasons. Who knows that this small kid who only took yoga as a childhood play and thereafter become his passion and professions years later.
I feel fortunate that I have chosen yoga as may profession as it gives me so much growth opportunity not only in teachings but also the knowledge in human body and mind. As a teenaged boy, I was very introvert in nature. Even till today, I enjoy spending time with myself. But the nature of my job makes me to who I am today. I always know myself that I am good in nothing, I am not good in my study, I am not the best in yoga, I am not best in teachings. But I am curious and wanting to know more about what is happening in each and every human body. I am curious to understand what is exactly happening in the human body when doing the yoga poses. Why is every individual so different, as in the same pose one may feel pleasure and yet another may feel pain.
The years of observations drive me to dive deep into understanding the human anatomy, the human physiology and its beyond. I am persistent in every action I do in my life. I take life as a journey, and I am open to learn every aspects of life. I am a first learner, and I know what I want in life. Very often I over-trust people as I choose to do that to have freedom in my heart. I never want to be a yoga teacher or never thought of being want to be a yoga teacher.
Yoga has grown to be my passion over the decades, and things happen for a or some reasons. Probably the universe has a better plan for me, and I came to Singapore on 8th August 2005 to begin my yoga teacher journey. It was indeed an eye opening journey for me, the journey has been fantastically fruitful, and I am still enjoy this wonderful journey that GOD has created the opportunity for me.
My life journey was in such a way that I failed many times before I succeed honestly speaking. Probably many people may not know or may not see my failures. But I never let the failures stop me, and I never give up. I told myself that so long as I have not given up, I have not failed, if I give up it means I fail in life. No one want to fail in life, I am one of them.
Starting my own yoga studio Real Yoga was not a pride but merely to create an opportunity for everyone to learn. I am glad that I made a strong decision of setting up my own studio REAL YOGA in 2008. REAL YOGA has given me and grown me to be who I am today, from a studio owner to many roles in the company, from teachings to operations, sales, marketing, finance advisor, business development and many more. There are ups and downs throughout the entire journey as a business owner though. I was on the verge of losing my passion in yoga in 2014, but then I quickly turn it around by starting to re-learn and study yoga again.
I believe human anatomy and phycology is what every yoga teacher should know as our bodies are moved base on our own anatomy, and our mind can slow us down or make us over push ourselves too. This brought me to study deep on human anatomy and human psychology, including human body dissection. My recent study is on human fascia and how the neuro fascia and functional anatomy work into our body on the yoga mats or any other form of exercises.
My journey strengthen me to become who I am and I feel I am only on 30% of my life journey. I am waiting to be excited myself with my future plans and journey, and my life goal is to help others. I have helped many special cases like wheel-chaired bound patients, cerebral palsy patients, cancer patients, and many others. I am learning too in the process, as each patient is different that require me to prescribe the best solutions for them to recover from their medical or physical conditions. I want to share with the world the hidden therapy which I have found in my past one and half decades of work (though I have been working only for 15 years but I count it as 30 years as my working days are like 14-18 hours a day, as I love what I do or I say I do what I love). I have discovered so much and applied the knowledge & techniques to my students that they heal from their physical, mental and emotional issues and lead towards the journey of transformation.
This podcast that I have created I will be sharing all the true story and human experiences to motivate you and inspire your belief in the power of the mind and body engineering system.
Thank you so much for your support and love.
