No matter how old or young you are, it’s not too late or too early. The best time is now.
You’re here for your own evolution, but you’re also here to contribute to evolution.
Your ability to deliver on this inherent promise directly correlates to your level of wellbeing and overall life satisfaction.
Each of us lends a note to this greater symphony, whether we are conscious of it or not.
How full a note are you contributing? How true? How harmonious with your purpose and potential?
I have become obsessed with the idea that people can live the lives they want instead of the lives they have. Over the years as a coach and consultant, I have been examining the disconnect between where people say they want to be and where they are. To a certain extent, it is logical. Hope keeps us going, after all. We almost always want better than we have now. That is why we set future-oriented goals. We strive for those things that are perceived to be missing in our lives. We work toward achieving those things that we want, whether it is better health and fitness, a car, a house, or a great relationship.
With that said, too many of us are settling for less than we want. It is way too easy to get caught up in the struggle. We have been taught to believe that "making a living" takes precedence over life. I don’t believe that, however.
I work with individuals who find themselves at a crossroads and are unsure how to either transition into something new or simply create a more fulfilling, harmonious life. Many of them are mid-level, mid-career professionals and professional athletes. They have been working in one type of job or career for a while, and now that job or career no longer makes them happy (if it ever did). They have a feeling that there must be "something else out there" for them, but they don't know what it is. Obviously in the case of an athlete, their career comes to an end.
