Every time you want to go some where, the roads are p and and and twist and turn. Night time is quite, and the stars in the sky are exquisite. It's a simple life here, back to the basics, but the beauty around you, you will never forget.

I have no doubt that you have seen the idyllic photo o the St Lucia Pitons. A picture of paradise with steep volcanic mountains in green surrounded by turquoise blue waters, blue skies, and puffy white clouds.  A island country that brings tourists to the shores and the wealth is in the scenery.  Something you can drink up and feel. 

This episode is dedicated to the little smiling baby I met in the Castries Market.  Their arcade stall was adjacent, eastward of the open center square.

This island nation is dotted with boats along the shoreline in it's turquoise waters. Buildings are being constructed.  The main street in town for the tourists is being repaved in attractive paver blocks.  My guess, this is the newest and next destination to be pushes for the three most southern Dutch Caribbean islands.  With less tourism here, the reefs aren't damaged and over used as the other two island of Aruba and Curaçao have been the main destinations.  This place is the one to watch. If you have a chance to see the beauty, visit and see it before it becomes over run by tourism.

The island has a lot of maritime history starting with the natives that lived here before the European travellers came to conquer this beautiful island north of Venezuela. The capital city of Willemstad was once a city surrounded by a fortress which has probably kept it alive in it's beauty we still see today.  The main street is famous for it's colorful buildings and Queen Emma pedestrian pontoon bridge.  The streets are still beautiful and have the old world European feeling as you walk through the street and alleys.

This episode is dedicated to a former client and friend of mine, Frank van den Berg.  The youngest of 3 brothers, his family moved to Curaçao.  At 5 years old, ready for Kindergarten, his parents decided it was time to move back to the mainland in the Netherlands.  As an adult, he moved to America, yet he still considers this picturesque island his "home".

This windy island is a paradise for windsurfers, beach-goers, and those looking for rest and relaxation. The city's colorful face has changed over the last few years and is not populated with the tourist but currently more closed store fronts.  But with the island's history it's face started to change from around 1500 from the Amerindian Ceramic people who lived here and their ancestors before them.

This episode is dedicated to a former client and friend of mine, Dr. John Dewey.  He would spend weeks and hours, every year, on the shores of Aruba enjoying windsurfing and share the stories of the people he met there.

The largest of the 3 islands, Grand Cayman is one of the place the wealthy come to play and bank.  Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac were called the Caymans because of the wild life here, mainly the crocodiles.  Many turtles and birds also inhabit the islands.  Snorkling, scuba, and sun bathing bring many tourists to these beaches here.  When you have the chance to enjoy the blue waters, do.
