  • Wondery Presents The Execution of Bonny Lee Bakley
Wondery Presents The Execution of Bonny Lee Bakley On May 4, 2001, Bonny Lee Bakley was found fatally shot in a car on a dark North Hollywood street. The prime suspect was her husband, famed actor Robert Blake. But Bonny, a longtime con artist, had plenty of enemies. She left behind a trail of men she'd scammed, and she had a volatile relationship with Christian Brando, the troubled son of movie star Marlon Brando. Not since the O.J. Simpson case had the eyes of the nation been so fixated on a homicide. The search for Bonny's killer took detectives on an eleven-month odyssey across the country and through Hollywood's underbelly of hustlers, drug addicts, and would-be hitmen. It would be the most expensive murder investigation in LAPD history to date. This is the story of Robert and Bonny's toxic relationship, her shocking murder, and his chaotic trial. Did actor Robert Blake kill his wife? Or was the murder someone else's vendetta? From Wondery, and the team behind the hit series Hollywood & Crime (The Dating Game Killer, The Wonderland Murders, Death of Starlet) comes a six-part series about love, obsession and fame gone wrong. • Charles Hollingsworth
Episode 53 Charles Hollingsworth Charles Hollingsworth seemed to have it all. He was a doctor with a successful medical practice in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He was married with 2 daughters, and lived an adventurous lifestyle with a love of jet skiing, running, and the outdoors. From all outward appearances, life was good for the 6ft1 doctor with 1950's movie star-leading man-like looks. But 1970 was a rough year for the 38 year-old. His marriage had fallen apart, and his wife finally left him after years of his infidelities. His wife found new love, but Charles found himself living alone. He was battling financial problems, and his family believed he had undiagnosed Manic Depression. On October 26, 1970, Charles left his office following an argument and was never seen again. His car was found abandoned in a desolate area 24 miles from where he was last seen. Inside the car were several of his belongings, including his gun and running shoes, but there was no sign of Charles, and he was never seen again. His case has been linked by some as possibly being connected to the missing persons case of Donna Lass. Lass, a nurse at a South Lake Tahoe casino, had moved into an apartment less than a mile from Charles Hollingsworth's apartment, just a day before she vanished on September 6, 1970. Charles Hollingsworth was declared legally dead, seven years after he vanished, but his family wants to know the truth about what happened to him, and they haven't totally ruled out the possibility that he left his old life behind to start over. In this episode, his daughter Kathy discusses her father's case, and the details surrounding his disappearance. If you have information about the disappearance of Charles Hollingsworth please call the South Lake Tahoe Police Department 530-542-6110 If you'd like to support this podcast via a donation, you can do so through Patreon here- https://www.patreon.com/MissingPodcast To contact the podcast or learn more about the cases we discuss visit: Missingpersonspodcast.net Follow us on Social media- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Missing-Persons-Podcast-103501877912153 or Twitter: https://twitter.com/Missing_Po

  • Sandra Eckert
Episode 52 Sandra Eckert 70 year old mother and grandmother, Sandra Eckert went missing on March 26, 2021. She was last known to be at her home on the 7200 block of South North Cape Road in Franklin, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. Her husband claimed that she threatened to leave following an argument and that she had been drinking. He claims he took keys to one of their vehicles to stop her, but that she still managed to leave the house in a second vehicle in the very early morning hours. Police saw the vehicle, a Gray 2005 Dodge Stratus with WI license plate #319LGT, but it was unclear whether Sandra was driving. Police didn't pull it over because Sandra had not been reported missing yet. Had they done so, there may be answers in the case. Sandra was never seen again, nor was her car. Due to Sandra's husband's story changing and his admittedly cold relationship with Sandra, he's a prime person of interest in the case, and suspicion of him had caused major division in the family forcing family members to take sides. In this episode, Sandra's daughter Kelsey walks us through her Mom's mysterious and frustrating case, and helps us understand what's going on behind the scenes. Sandra is 5'7″ and weighs 130lbs, she has blonde hair and green eyes. She was last wearing black leggings, colorful tennis shoes, and a large navy blue and teal North Carolina Tarheels starter jacket Anyone with information is asked to call Franklin Police Department at 414-425-2522. • David Cohen
Episode 49 David Cohen 43 Year Old David Cohen of West Virginia, drove from his home in West Virginia in April 2015 to visit his friend in Lacey Twp, NJ. Dave, being a native of that area of NJ, knew the area well, but with about 30 minutes left in his drive, Dave decided to pull over and check into the Red Lion Motel at the Route 206 circle in Southampton, NJ across from the State Police barracks. Dave told his friend that he was tired and would see him the next day. When Dave didn't show, his friend called the hotel only to find out that Dave was not there but his truck was. The friend alerted Dave's family, who in turn contacted the state police. Investigators quickly determined that Dave had bought something to eat at the Red Star Pizza restaurant, which was also close to the circle. Video surveillance and eye witnesses at the pizza shop revealed nothing unusual, besides Dave being alone and in good spirits. He exited with his sandwhich and was never seen again. When police searched Dave's hotel room, they found it had already been cleaned to rent out. His locked truck contained much of Dave's belongings including a laptop, a brand new unopened cell phone, and his suitcase which had his room key inside. The only thing missing seemed to be Dave's keys and Dave himself. Dave's sister Jen discusses her brother's mysterious case, and the strange clues, or lack of clues.
