Before there was Alex Pereira or Israel Adesanya or really any of the most incredible kickboxers came over to MMA, there was Bas Rutten. He's the one to first blaze that trail and even retire on top. This is the story of Bas Rutten.
The UFC delivered and then some with the Sphere. It was legitimately amazing. The problem is, the title fights really didn't deliver. They should do this sort of thing more often, but it doesn't change the essential product.
We just wrapped up a season with Shevchenko and Grasso culminating in their fight at the Sphere which got us thinking, when was the last time the Ultimate Fighter was any good? Turns out there has been a slew of completely pointless seasons lately, but also all throughout the show's
MMA rivalries are already intense enough on their own and sometimes the fight itself doesn't really live up to the hype, but in these cases the ending couldn't be more brutal and definitive.
Some fights just look awful on paper. Maybe it looks boring as a style matchup? Or how about a squash match? For one reason or another, most of us fans pre-judged these fights and were just totally wrong. Literally some of the best ever.

Chances are, many of us have had bad run-ins with our bosses. In some cases that led to a firing and might even be for reasons we'd rather not admit. Well in this case these fighters definitely went way too far and sadly for them, the world witnessed it in real time.
These are the moments that collectively blew our MMA brains. They are the moments that made you bigger fans of the sport, in other cases bummed you out, but most of the time just had you losing it for all the right reasons.
