As part of our series of behind the scenes podcasts about Alex and Mosheh’s pregnancy journey in 2023, we spoke with one of the midwives who cared for her. 

This episode features an interview with Christina McPherson, a certified nurse-midwife, about the midwifery care model, and the state of maternal health in the US. American democracy has a number of challenges as it approaches its 250th birthday in 2026. The US has one of hardest constitutions in the world to amend, and is the only country to use an electoral college vs popular vote to elect presidents as well as the only democratic nation to allow for lifetime appointments of federal judges.
