What should you consider when trying to find a home that is a clean environment and what are some red flags to look for?
Are there certain TYPES of homes, or homes built during certain years, that tend to be more mold-prone?
Are there any tests we can buy at the store to help determine if there is mold in our environment or is ERMI testing the "gold standard?"
Can we purchase moisture meters from the local hardware store?
How often should you check/test your home for mold?
Are you able to test the air for mold? Are there "mold meters" or any device that can test the air inside your home?
Is it wise to encapsulate mold with mold paint? Can mold paint be used for prevention?
Do solar panels on your home's roof increase the possibility of mold growth?
How do you vet a mold professional?
What if mold professionals' opinions differ on recommendations for your home? Ex. mold specialist vs. remediation company suggesting two different things.
Can you locate mold in your walls without tearing them apart?
What if levels come back higher post-remediation?
How do you know if your furniture, etc. is contaminated?
Does small particle cleaning (post-remediation) help?
