The podcast is back everyone! After taking the month of September off, we are back with a new look and a new episode. This week on the podcast we talk about all the strange things we do on social media. From the type of comments we leave, the meme community and the backlash it gets, our obsession with gifs, memes and emojis and our desires to be influencers. We cover these hot social media topics and activities in a funny way. But we also get serious about the trolls who feel the need to put others down on social media because they feel triggered by a joke. We've all seen those nasty comments and on this episode we have a thing or two to say about that. You know what else we have something to say about? The Mom Supporting Mom and Women Supporting Women movement. We discuss how this has been taken a little too far and the expectations we've put on women with this movement are unrealistic. We also share why. Lastly, we give you a scenario of what would happen if all moms who interact in group chats on Instagram got together in real life. That would be funny! Check out the episode and share with who you know!

This week you're in for a treat with another fun episode that will surely make you laugh! We are talking about all the motherhood, parenting trends that need to retire ASAP! And I don't spare judgement on this at all! We talk about gender reveals - which is extremely "trendy" and at the same time extremely hated on. I talk about how it started and share some outrageous gender reveals that we've seen online. I also talk about people choosing to not give their child a gender and refer to them as "they". The conversation also touches on butchering how named are spelled just to be different, baby showers, crazy items on a baby registry, weird baby shower games and other baby shower trends. I poke fun at toddler leashes, letter boards and cake smash photo shoots. I also call out people who decide not to follow trends but do so with a touch of arrogance and superiority (because that stuff needs to end too!). And lastly I share about how I am feeling really mixed about the trendy term "mompreneur".

Step into our living room for lots of wine and a fun girls night in with Amanda from @momof1anddone (on Instagram!). You are in for a lot of fun today! This week we welcomed Amanda for a fun girls night with us. She came equipped with wine and a lot to talk about. We talked to her about why Mom of 1 and Done, what her feelings are on this subject and what led to her decision to have 1 child only (something so many people can relate to even with more than one child). We talk about our own birthing and breast feeding experiences and our pregnancies and the trials and tribunals these experiences have on our mental health.
Since Amanda is a mom to a child with nut allergies, we got a mom's perspective on what it's like raising children with allergies and the precautions she takes. She shared some great resources for epi pen discounts too! Because we know they are expensive!
We end the episode with a fun game of Fuck, Marry, Kill while consuming a lot of wine throughout our conversation (which becomes so evident as we play the game).

This week we talk to Paul from @stonecolddaddy on Instagram who is a stay at home dad. We talk to him about how he started his Instagram account and how he became a stay at home dad, and his feelings about it. Paul suffers from depression and anxiety and has for most of his life, which was a big part of today's conversation. We discuss this in detail and how parenting can sometimes make this more trying, and how Paul copes with it.
Paul talks to us about his history with depression and anxiety, as well as drug and alcohol addiction in his past and his suicide attempt. Paul talked about how he received electroconvulsive therapy to help him with his challenges and due to on going therapy and help, how he's been sober since.
We dive really deep into how Paul copes, the resentment that comes with it, the strength that comes with it and what it takes to overcome it all. We discuss how Paul addresses comments and questions from other people about it. Paul and I talk about how it can be difficult to talk to people and to be vulnerable, especially when people don't understand what you're going through.
We discuss the fact that even though the stigma around mental health still exists, there are lots of outlets available now to discuss these things, and for anyone seeking help, we encourage you to do the same.
Paul also shares with us what his plans are in respect to telling his kids about his past and recovery from his mental health and addiction journey.
