In this episode of the Artist Business Plan we sit down with Matthew Grabelsky, to discuss the the process of creation and the specificity of his subject matter. Learn about the way your environment can impact your art and differences in markets abroad when you tune into this lovely episode.
Guest: Matthew Grabelsky is a realistic oil painter who depicts people with animal heads, often riding the New York City subway. He became fascinated by animals as a child during frequent trips to the zoo. An Art History class in college sparked his interest in classical European figurative paintings. He loved how these works presented views of the world and wanted to create his own contemporary version of them, so he studied classical painting techniques.
