Do you ever catch yourself saying, “I just don’t feel like it”… and then making your decision based on that?
I don’t feel like getting up.
I don’t feel like exercising.
I don’t feel like cooking.
I don’t feel like reading my Bible.
I don’t feel like dealing with this right now.
If so—same, friend. This episode came straight out of my own conviction.
Recently, I heard someone casually explain why they skipped something based on how they felt, and it was like a lightbulb moment. I suddenly realized: that’s me. That’s what I’ve been wrestling with for years—trying to honor how God made my body and emotions without letting my feelings run my life.
In today’s conversation, we’re exposing the cultural lie that says, “Just listen to your feelings.”
Because yes—God created our feelings, and they matter. But they were never meant to be the leader. They’re meant to be indicator lights, not our steering wheel.
