White Rock Mayor has been blindsided by this renewed suggestion by Allison Patton. He spoke to Simi Sara on the Jon McComb Show in the last hour.

Joseph Katalinic matched all seven numbers to win sixty million dollars in the July 26th, 2019 draw.
Katalinic has been peacefully retired for twenty years, but has plans to “live like a king” after winning the jackpot.
The former commercial fisherman has called Richmond home most of this life.
As for the newfound wealth, he'll be taking some family trips to Hawaii and visit the town in Europe where his parents were born.

It’s corn season in Chilliwack
Today’s recipe is for cream corn!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour or rice flour
1 large egg beaten
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1/3 cup chopped fresh basil or chives
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Ground pepper to taste
Method (makes 18 medium cakes):
Place the cream corn in a bowl, add the flour, beaten egg, Parmesan, chive or basil and seasoning to taste.
Drop by tablespoons into a lightly oiled non stick pan that is on Medium high heat.
Cook about 3-4 minutes each side.
To ramp this up, top with a grilled scallop or sautéed prawn as an appetizer.

Andrew Berry testimony continues in court today
The man accused of murdering his two young daughters in his Oak Bay home on Christmas Day 2017 says someone broke into his apartment and stabbed him.
Andrew Berry continues his tearful testimony at BC Supreme Court.
Berry recalling the moments he was taken to hospital after he realized his daughters Aubrey and Chloe were dead.
When asked if he tried to commit suicide Christmas Day, he said no "it's all wrong."
The testimony continues with photo evidence of the crime scene, many people looking away, in tears.
Defence says Berry was in debt to loan sharks.
Defence suggesting loan sharks are to blame for the deaths.

The forest fires in the Amazon rainforest continue to burn at an alarming rate. As of Thursday, reports state there are more than 165,000 fires burning in the Amazon rainforest, which is home to roughly 40,000 plant species, 1,300 bird species and 2.5 million species of insects. CKNW Contributor Claire Allen spoke to Ruth DeFries, professor of Ecology in the Earth Institute at Columbia University in New York, about the Amazon rainforest and what started the devastating forest fires.
