Funny, British, Nice addition to series

I enjoyed the characters in this story quite a bit. Patrick knows Mark is attracted to him and though hes not usually attracted to someone that much older than him, he cant help but be charmed by the social ineptitude he sees in Mark.

The two dance around each other for a long, long, long time and then ironically with the blessing of Marks daughter, finally begin a relationship.

This one is very dry, full of humor, light on steam and very British.

I had a hard time getting invested in Mark and Patrick as a couple, however. They dont really even get involved until near the end and though it is cute and sweet, I cant really say theyll be there together - forever. At best its a HFN for these guys.

The writing is excellent, as always, and Marks self-discovery is probably the most important and well-done aspect of this story, but it didnt set my heart a-flutter.

So for me it was fun. Nice. I liked it, but I didnt love it. If youre in the mood to laugh and smile and watch a man discover himself this is your book. If you want firey romance and heat and burning declarations of love not so much.

Mark Steadman is fantastic again. Im not sure how many superlatives I can use to describe how perfectly he suits this series! Its such a BRITISH book with so many slang words and the feel is ever so British, having his accent speaking Merrows words really helps complete the scene.

Highly recommended as a way to enjoy this book and the series!

lighthearted and fun

I am going to admit I stared at this in my library for a while not so eager after listening to Played. But I was down to my last couple books, the reviews all looked good and I will admit I was hoping for Patrick's story. Now I am very glad I gave it a go. I loved all of the characters. The story is fast-paced, fun and hilarious. There is a couple of subplots that are intriguing, the romance is sweet. and who doesn't love a precocious matchmaking teenager?

I love British stories and Mark Stedman as the coolest accent. He gave the story wit, charm and personality and I absolutely adored David with his swishiness and lisp. ( I hope he is getting a story soon.

Too Bland and Boring for My Taste

After her best friend plans an impromptu wedding in Ireland on short notice, Lu Osborne crosses the ocean to support her friend. Lu's always had a crush on Sarah's brother, Joe, but after a dance together at a local Irish pub, Joe also seems to be interested in Lu. Back home in New York, Lu and Joe begin seeing each other. When Lu is faced with the possibility of having to couch surf with friends since Sarah will move out of their apartment after the honeymoon, Joe's protective side comes out as he showers Lu with affection insisting that she remain in the apartment at his expense so she can focus on her art.

This installment of the Shower & Shelter series was a bit bland for me. Lu and Joe's romance was rather boring, and at times Joe seemed more possessive of Lu than protective.

Sweet

Another page turner. The Author has a way of making the Characters so interesting and like-able. Because this story was written in 'first person' we learned in detail Lu's (the heroine) personality and what she was thinking. A talented Artist, Lu wasn't that confident in her ability to come up with new projects, and also attracting a handsome Guy like Joe.

Favorite series, another great installment.

This series is my favorite by Brooke St James. I love the family, friendships, daith, loyalty, and of course the art. Again, this book is a wonderful story weaving together all of those elements. Not my favorite in the series but a part of the whole awesomeness.

I love the Big Brothers, the thorn in the flesh, the picture stealing, the silly banter about things, and the introduction and reintroduction of people in the series. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Contemporary Military Romance!

Wind Chime Summer is an amazing book about the power of healing and how discovering ones talents can help you move on. It is the third book in the Wind Chime series written by Sophie Moss, which is just as wonderful as the first book in the series, Wind Chime Cafe. The story centers around Izzy Rivera, a decorated Army veteran who appears to be battling post-traumatic stress syndrome. Since separating from the Army as a gourmet chef, she was fired from three jobs and arrested for assault. To stay out of jail, she is accepted into a rehab program for veterans on Heron Island where she isolates herself from the other residents. [In the prior two books in the series we learn how the rehab program got started in an old refurbished inn.]

The other central character in Wind Chime Summer is marine biologist Ryan Callahan whose family has lived on Heron Island for generations as fishermen. He recently opened a nonprofit organization in conjunction with his new oyster farm in an attempt to save the Chesapeake Bay. His farm and nonprofit are the primary employers for the veterans center, and Izzy reluctantly goes to work for Ryan. It goes without saying that eventually, Ryan helps Izzy break out of her self-imposed isolation and helps her heal. Their relationship feels very realistic and the dialog between them flows naturally.

Hollis McCarthy narrated this audiobook and she did an outstanding job. She uses differing voices for all of the characters, young and old. Her narration was easy to listen to and she demonstrated the right amount of worry, exasperation, and yearning in all the right places. Simply put, this audiobook will pull at your heartstrings. Brava!

this is the 3rd in series and another excellent story. Lots to learn about life and work on the Chesapeake Bay, immigration, veterans issues all wrapped up in a charming love story with a happy ending. Highly recommend.

In His Hands is the third book in the exceptional Blank Canvas series, and it's a definite must read! An emotionally captivating story with complex characters, angst, a bit of drama, intense situations, danger, suspense, and intriguing twists that will capture you from start, and hold on long after the last word is read. I absolutely love this book and series, and can't wait for the next release!

This has been a compelling series about heroine's who learn how to overcome the unimaginable hell that they've been through, how to use the immense strength inside of them, and how to love and live again. The hero's are all loving, caring, passionate men that are also damaged in their own way, and they fall hard for these amazing women. It may not be immediately, and sometimes even reluctantly, but they're willing to risk it all to protect the women they love.

this one is my favorite...I love all the books so far but this one is brought out emotions...I cried a little and smiled alot... it's always a sign of a good well written story when it brings out true emotions from the reader

Emotional and so real

I loved getting to hear Kai and Wen put their voices to Melinda and Sager. Together Kai, Wen, and Michelle made such an emotional story and I loved listening to it. The ups and downs for Melinda are so life like that you can't help but be dragged further and further into the story. I enjoyed hearing about what's going on with the band and how everything works out for them. Hearing about Sager's past and knowing what a wonderful sweet man he turns into is amazing. I loved the entire book (even the bad and the ugly parts, because you couldn't have the good and the beauty without them). This has been such an amazing series to this point. I can't wait for the finale with King as the star and everything that he is going to get into.

Two beautiful people who had great obstacles in life to overcome. Kai and Wen make this story come to life. Loved it!

Yes this book is AMAZING.

Michelle has a way of writing a story that pulls at your heart strings and hooks you in from the first sentence. With Michelle's writing and Kai and Wen's voices this book surpassed my expectations and left me wanting more of the Pixie and Sager and the rest of the Tempest boys and their better halves.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tempting Tempo?

There are so many that will forever stick in my mind but I think the most memorable will be when Melinda/Blue walks through the crowd completely exposed and vulnerable her flaws on full display to show Sager that she was all in.

Which character as performed by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross was your favorite?

I don't want to can not choose... I love Kai and Wen and as a team they are amazing their voices weave around you and transport you to the middle of the story as an observer as it plays out right in front of you.

Any additional comments?

As always the dynamic duo do not disappoint and Michelle gave us everything with Sager and Blue's story. Most series begin to be repetitive and predictable but not the Tempest series.

This was a high emotion & high drama book. Blue was immature & unsure of herself and of her and Seagers relationship. He was always very clear about what he wanted, her, from the very beginning.

Did not finish at 22%

I was really disappointed in this book. I absolutely loved Simona's first novel and was excited for this one. Unfortunately it fell flat. Isobel is a sanctimonious do-gooder with mommy issues and Alexander is a jet-set playboy with alcohol issues who decides to change his life on a whim. I was not drawn to either character. They were just plain unlikeable. More importantly, there was no spark between them. I feel that this novel did not have much depth and the romance felt stilted. It was one big yawn. To be fair, Ahrnstedt is a good writer and the surrounding characters are quite interesting. The secondary romance was also well-done. Unfortunately neither is enough to keep reading when the main romance is just going through the motions. I'll wait for the next book in the series.

Disappointed

I also loved the first book and waited for this one. It was a bit ridiculous and even for a romance novel, had my eyes rolling. This author is so talented I felt let down. It has some major plot points that are unclear and left hanging. Also, it is almost that she foced the kinky which made no sense because the heroine was traumartized from a previous relationship with it. Some additional scenes include the very same heroine who is held hostage for 9 days - and beaten - but then only needs bandaids, and a rich and gorgeous playboy who only finally admitted people don't want him for himself . I totally didn't get the guy who supposedly set up the kidnapping didn't??

A Fun Contemporary Christmas Collection

I always look forward to these Timeless Anthologies and I especially was looking forward to this contemporary Christmas set. This was a fun collection of stories, I liked that I could squeeze them in during my busy schedule.
