    Members Reviews:
    Good undercover story
The story is a change from the norm for Jessica Daniel, she goes undercover and whilst the reclusive community story has been told many times, you'll find that this is a whole new take on the subject and I was kept guessing all the way through.
    A very good story
Very entertaining book. Well read and keeping you interested to the end.
Recommended for those that like want something slightly different from the normal murder story
    Worth the wait!
Another great Jessica Daniel book in the series. I think they should be read in order although seems to be one not available on audible which is the book before this so some gaps I feel missing?
Still a great listen. Off to start the next one.
    The best in the Series!
    Any additional comments?
This is an excellent book. I truly couldn't 'put it down'. I constantly sought opportunities to listen to it, I even lost sleep. It is genuinely full of suspense and not predictable. It was quite a ride and I now have 'book hangover'. Becky Hindley's narration is also excellent as always.
    Good story with maintained tension
Interesting story, well narrated developing the tension in an interesting fashion. The characters were well developed without being overwritten a good listen.

    Compelling story, amateurish presentation
Given the current events in Syria and other areas in the Middle East affected by the actions of ISIS/ISIL, the story line is poignant and riveting. The language is sophomoric and the editing is abysmal - it's amazing to me that the publishers let as many English language mistakes be presented in an allegedly finished product. I would compare the story to a Dan Brown novel, and would expect the level of writing to be on par. On the plus side, it's the second worst edited book I've ever read. On the minus side, the worst was the first book of the trilogy, The Brotherhood of the Red Nile: A Terrorist Perspective. I will read the last of the trilogy when it's available, hopefully it'll be better, maybe the publisher will clean up some of the issues that appeared in the preview, but one never knows, does one ...
A must read, a trilogy of suspense and possibly the future.
Well written and presents scenarios that we think could possibly occur in our life times.
Good character development and carry over from the first book of the trilogy to the last.
Hope he is not writing about events we may see in the near future.
    Another good read.
So far I've read first two book in the series. I have enjoyed both. It seemed the first book was a little slow to read, but their was a,lot of story about the preparation for the event that needed to be told and,the characters introduced. The second, book is,much, faster paced, but like I said I enjoyed both very much. I hope the third book come out soon as I'm anxiously awaiting it so,I can find, out what happened!
    Book by Dan Perkins
wow!! i read book two in three nights, and i cannot wait to read book three. Dan is a great writer, and story teller. I highly recommend reading both books ASAP. This will be the trilogy everyone is talking about by summer of this year. It is so on target it is scary.
    Go buy it now!!!
    The Story Continues
I read the first book in the trilogy and became intrigued with the story line. This second book is a bit harder to follow and tells multiple stories simultaneously so prolonged reading sessions is essential. The story continues to be thought provoking and the idea of attacking oil pipelines to cripple the nation is right from the headlines.

    Publisher's Summary:
Every writer knows what it's like to be plagued by a bad case of writer's block. But what happens when writer's block shows up in person and starts terrorizing a best-selling author? Zachary Gold, struggling to write his second novel after becoming an instant success with this first, is suddenly confronted by a mysterious man claiming that Zach plagiarized his writing. In his efforts to escape the crazed imposter, Zach flees into a nearby library and hides out amidst the children's bookshelves in the basement. Surrounded by fairy tales and fearing for his safety, the author attempts to put words on paper - or laptop screen - while grappling with the question of whether he should write a sequel to his smash hit or start anew with an original story. The Sequel is the latest story in our bibliomystery series, penned by none other than R.L. Stine, the man who made horror fun for young readers.

    a book???
I thought I was buying a book! I was disappointed in the shortness of this thing.the story was ok, time travel kind thing. Guess I need to pay more attention to the description !!!!!
    A Tasty Mini-Mystery
Cool idea. Mysterious Press is the imprint connected to Mysterious Bookshop, which bills itself as the country's oldest "mystery, crime, and suspense" bookstore. It's latest digital project is the distribution of "bibliomysteries", which are short pieces, mostly written by established authors. There are stories by C.J. Box, Ken Bruen, Jeffrey Deaver, Loren Estleman, Laura Lippman, and so on.
This one is by R.L. Stine. It was interesting to see what Stine, who is known primarily for his YA and middle grade suspensers, (the "Goosebumps" series, for example), would do with a short adult horror-mystery. Well, no spoilers here, but what we get is a nice, moody, tight Twilight Zone kind of episode. It's tasty and twisty, although it never reached out and grabbed me.
It seems that this work, and most of the others, are intended to be fun, quick samples that let you explore new and established writers through a brief, but complete, tale. I liked it, and I note that many of the bibliomysteries are kindleunlimited freebies, so I'll be trying a few more.
Please note that I received a free advance ecopy of this book in exchange for a candid review. Apart from that I have no connection at all to either the author or the publisher of this book.
    The Sequel
Recently the almighty gods of literature have seen it fit to bless me with the opportunity to consecutively review two amazing books, The Last American Vampire and The Sequel, which are very different. This is the review for the latter of those books, and it is AWESOME!
Reading the Sequel is like riding a roller coaster that moves too fast. The beginning of the book is like crawling up that mountainous arch, excitement and fear chewing at the pit of your stomach. Till you sit upon that massive perch, stationary, watching the world below crawl by, but then you suddenly feel the ride lurch forward as the coaster plummets down toward the ground below at 60+ miles per hour, you donât even really have time to scream, much less comprehend WTFâs going on.

The full length novel Black Angel is a dark standalone thriller following A Child for the Devil. It is a gritty and violent tale of a man on the run. His life destroyed by an insidious cult, he has no choice but to kill to survive.
    Members Reviews:
A worthy sequel to A Child for the Devil
I enjoyed this conclusion to the Hunting Angels Series every bit as much as the first book. There is not a lot of bad language in it, and where language does occur it is appropriate. However, if you are squeamish about blood and gore and violence then you might want to steer clear of this book because there is quite a bit of it.
This book continues the hunt for members of the Order of 9 Angels in general and Jennifer Booth, the order's satanic leader, in particular. Conrad Jones once again plays himself as he did in the first book and is on the run. While he is hunting them he is also being hunted by them and the police in relation to a series of bloody killings that he has committed both in self defense and as the aggressor.
I highly recommend both this book and this series to those of you with the stomach for it.
Jacob Bruce did a fine job of narrating this tome just as he did the first one.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!
Scary Story. Love this author's novels.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
yes the narrator has a voice which suits this genre very well. It has an edge to it. The storyline is amazing. Very good indeed.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Publisher's Summary:
Now optioned for TV - this first book is one of three in a series.
White-collar Henry is hired by a successful software developer and college friend who has created kidnApp, a cell phone app and social network that allows people to kidnap each other for fun. The app is growing faster than they can handle. His friend wants to groom Henry as the Mid-Atlantic regional manager with part ownership of the company, but he will need to become a seasoned kidnApper first. The problem is, Henry is stuck in his conservative job, suffering from post-fiancée breakup depression, and he definitely sucks at kidnApping. But this is an opportunity he cannot refuse.
Danielle (Dani) Hardly is an aimless bartender at a rundown nightclub. She is barely scraping by, but she is one of the first users of kidnApp in Baltimore. She uses the app as an escape from the increasingly difficult world around her, often time pushing the limits of the experience. During a botched kidnApping, she is rescued by newly recruited Henry - someone she has nothing in common with until Henry opens up to her about his less than mediocre kidnapping skills. The last thing Dani expects is to start collaborating with Henry who needs all the help he can get. Throughout the series, Henry ties to balance his normal life and job while kidnApping on the side. Dani transitions from a hardcore kidnApp user to a nearly full time employee, confusing her already fragile sense of identity.

    Funny and engaging
A fun title to listen to. Characters are memorable (I love Dani) and the story is well thought out and paced. Narrator was great and added humor at the proper moments. Can't wait to hear the next episodes.
If William Gibson, & John Waters had a baby...
Would you listen to So Say the Waiters (episodes 1-5) again? Why?
I will certainly listen to this again. I expect, once I finish the series I'll listen again for more nuances and relationships between the episodes.
What other book might you compare So Say the Waiters (episodes 1-5) to and why?
William Gibson's character, Cayce Pollard from Pattern Recognition. It reminded me of my days in art school, and had me wondering if I ever bought a beer from Dani.
What about Pete Mutinos performance did you like?
He has a good range of voices to bring the characters to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    Go ahead, hit submit.
    Any additional comments?
Being a native of Baltimore, I found myself visualizing the rides through town. Guessing which club they were at in a given scene.

Was immer sie auch noch schreiben mag, fuer mich ein absolutes no no no!
Written in language so simple a 5th grader
wouldn't have any trouble understanding. What's with the poor grammar, where was the editor? The characters were rather unbelievable and not well developed. The book became so boring in the middle I skipped to the last few chapters. I truly felt like I wasted my time reading it. This author has a long way to go if she wants to join the ranks of Nele Neuhaus and Charlotte Link.
I want my money back - Ich will mein Geld zurück!

Where does Le diable sur les épaules (Martial de la Boissière 1) rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Very entertaining story supported by a great performance! Many turns and twists keep the story interesting (if not always in unexpected ways). The writting is bit in the style of the Arsene Lupin serie, but with a little less exgeration, and the study of the small occitane village after WWI is a little remiscent of a Maigret novel. I regret however that the author feels that the more gore the better. The performance is really exceptional, but i expect the accents might be hard to understand for non native speakers.
