Lazy dog owners could end up making children very sick

As a parent, do you worry about your child coming into contact with dog poo while out playing?

One mother was left horrified when her son ended up hospitalised after coming in contact with some while playing football.

Kris' son Evan came in from kicking a ball with his friends and she said she could smell the dog dirt off him. She immediately cleaned him up but a few days later he became very ill.

He ended up spending 4 days in Crumlin Children's hospital. Doctors said he'd contracted bacteria commonly found in dog faeces.

Kris joined us on the show to share the horror of the situation. She called on dog owners to be more responsible.
