Sarah and Megan learned about a serial killer that they had never heard of before, Bobby Joe Long.  Sarah promises she would have had more empathy for his childhood if he wasn't such a sadistic murdering bastard. 
Bobby Joe had a hard childhood and blamed all of it on his mother.  This caused him to have a severe hatred of all women.  Pile on about 500 head wounds and you have a serial killer. In fact, Bobby Joe seemed to be a poster boy for serial killers. In his 8 month killing spree, he took the lives of 10 women.
