Some crimes are hard to digest. Mountain Murders discusses one of the most disturbing accounts of parricide in recent history. Nikki Whitehead was a 34 year old hair stylist who lived in Conyers, Georgia-and was also the mother of twin 16 year old girls. Nikki had conflicts with her daughters which escalated into physical violence. When the mother is found dead in her bathtub, police slowly but surely realize the killers were in plain sight.

Warning: This episode contains discussions of rape and sexual assault

In 2006, members of Duke University's Lacrosse team hosted a party with exotic dancers. Afterwards, Crystal Mangum, a hired dancer, told Durham Police she was gang raped by members of the Lacrosse team. What ensued was a media firestorm. The case sparked public discussions of racism, sexual assault, media bias, and due process on college campuses. However, the story doesn't end there. Mountain Murders has all the details and the aftermath.
