Leigh taught me so much on this episode. So many of us think of nutrition as calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat but there is so much more to it. What is the difference between being allergic to a food vs being reactive to it? What does it mean to be a slow oxidizer or a fast one? We get deep with functional diagnostic nutrition. On top of that, she owns FitZone Bakersfield and teaches a number of classes per week including Gravity and spin classes. Leigh lets me know how she stays motivated on days that might be a little tough to get ramped up for. She is so knowledgeable with nutrition and fitness it could have been a three hour episode.
