The Flash is back and we finally get to see how Thawne got to manipulating Nora. It also raises some interesting questions. After the Flash disappeared, there weren't any other speedster Metas. Is that why Iris dampened Nora's powers? Did she not want whatever happened to the other speedsters (including Barry) to happen to Nora? Also...what is Thawne's plan? We know Barry is celebrating a little too early and Thawne is going to get free, but how?

This was a solid return episode and it had a lot of throwbacks to Season 1 and how Barry got his powers (we just got to watch them happen to Nora).

Seriously, why do we even bother reviewing this show at this point? We came into this episode thinking it would be a bit more sober because of the death of Hank but instead we get a sex god, a Bollywood musical number and the reveal that Hank's big secret is that he was creating a Disney World-like amusement park with the magical creatures. This show is ridiculous. This show is absurd. This show is so much fun. And if you don't like it...something is seriously wrong with you.

This week, Shanna, The Doctor, and Parrish are back to discuss Marvel's Cloak & Dagger on Freeform. In the two-hour premiere, Ty and Tandy may have switched lifestyles but the dysfunction remains. Ty (Aubrey Joseph) is living in the church while Tandy (Olivia Holt)  is back at home with her mom and attending group therapy for domestic violence survivors. Unfortunately, neither one of them is adjusting well. Ty is secretly spying on his family and Evita and Tandy is taking revenge on the abusers of the women in her therapy group. And behind the scenes, Detective Brigid O'Reilly (Emma Lahana)  is seemingly having a breakdown after being infected by Roxxon chemicals. She's strung out on pills and barely keeping a hold on her sanity. We also meet three new characters, Lia and Andre (Dilshad Vadsaria and Brooklyn McLinn), counselors at Tandy's group who may know more than they're saying about missing girls in the neighborhood. And Mikayla, one of the DV survivors who is having a hard time getting out of her relationship.

We discuss Ty and Tandy's chemistry (is it romance or friendship?), the layered storytelling and symbolism and most important, MAYHEM! in this supersized episode. Trigger warning: This episode discusses domestic violence.

To celebrate the release of Endgame this month we're diving into the character that launched the MCU: Tony Stark aka Iron Man. Tony Stark is an interesting character for Marvel. On face value he might seem like Marvel's attempt to duplicate Bruce Wayne. A rich playboy during the day who fights crime at night. The difference is, Tony Stark is the more interesting identity between Tony & Iron Man. A lot of early Iron Man villains are really Tony Stark villains who cross paths with Iron Man because Tony hides his true identity as Iron Man by claiming the Armored Avenger is just his body guard. It's what makes early Iron Man issues very interesting in seeing Tony struggle with the dual identities and wanting to just be Tony Stark. For this episode we cover the early days of Tony Stark/Iron Man, Tony's struggles with alcohol & Rhodey taking over, Armor Wars, the birth of the War Machine Armor and the unfortunate crossover The Crossing/Onslaught and Heroes Reborn. Just kidding...we don't cover Heroes Reborn cause it's garbage.

Next episode we'll pick up with Iron Man Volume 3 and the more modern takes on Iron Man. And after Endgame, we'll do a bonus episode where we'll go back and discuss the more memorable armors of Iron Man.

Lucha libre, Hawaiian werewolves, tricky Dick and truth roaches...oh yes folks...WE BACK...the Legends are back. We really didn't realize how much we missed Legends of Tomorrow until it came back the last two episodes (Lucha de Apuestas & The Getaway). I mean how can you not love this show? Out of all the Arrowverse shows this is the one that asks the most of it's cast. These episodes jump between being silly and ridiculous and being serious and moving constantly without feeling out of place. What other show can give us the sad breakup of Ava and Sara and the tragedy of Mona while also giving us Lucha libre wrestling and a RV roadtrip with President Nixon, the Legends and a cockroach that forces people to tell the truth. Come on.  How can you not love this show?

*insert Don LaFontaine's voice here* In a world where Lex Luthor is free, no one is safe from his villainy and cunning.  Kara is framed for attempted murder and destruction of federal property via the use of Red Daughter.  James' mind is blown when it is revealed to him that Lex had a hand in his shooting.  Lena learns to extent of Eve Tessmacher's machinations under Lex's direction.   Lillian learns her son was about to commit matricide.  J'onn...J'onn...

Okay uncue Don's voice here because technically what's going on with J'onn has nothing to do with Lex, but it does bring back our favorite Carl Lumbly as Pappa J'onnz to tell his son to stop being a dumbass and so literal. We are on hiatus until the show returns at the end of the month!
