Oh what's that? This whole thing has been a plan by Thawne? No way. Who would have thunk it?

We did. We thunk it. And Ralph. They really really should have listened to Ralph this episode. There's one episode left in this season and not only do we have no idea how it's going to turn out but we're totally invested in it (something that hasn't happened the last few seasons).

Gary uses his demonic nipple to hypnotize...I mean nipnotize the Time Bureau, the Wave Rider and crew get stuck under a ton of ice & snow and drink and play a card game to get out and John leaps into hell to try to rescue Ray.

Yup. Just your typical episode of Legends.

We are back with two episodes this week following our Avengers Endgame and Game of Thrones sorrow fests. For the last two weeks Kara has been on her reporter grind trying to figure out a way to bring down Lex, when she finally comes to the conclusion that her best play is to 1) humanize the aliens who are doing good work in National City and 2) visit her forgotten friend Lena and work together with her to track Lex.  This provides results, but Kara also forgets the first rule of exposing something-making multiple copies and telling EVERYONE WHERE YOU ARE GOING!!!

We also see Lena stabilize the Harrenel in James' system, which aids in a magnificent display of powers very similar o the ones of he Kryptonians, as well as Ben Lockwood making a dumb ass decision to inject himself with the pure form of the stuff after an alien he provokes kills his wife.  The only down side of this batch of episodes was the narrative the show was attempting to spin via Ben Lockwood's son.  The idea that only once a bigot realizes the hate affects someone they know will they change is a trope that is tired and patently proven false in real life.

We may not make profits, but I gotta say, the podcast feels prophetic sometimes. We were recording before Giannis took a seat in the 3rd quarter, but we still knew that the Bucks were going to flush those coward Celtics last night. Come bask in our rightness and get your fill of other gems like us (me) calling for investment in the WNBA, the Red Sox poisoning their clubhouse with a photo op, and watch Nata get tortured by all things David Gettleman.

Umm...we do know that Eobard Thawne is evil right? What are we doing here? Kriss has a theory on what Thawne's plan actually is and it makes sense as to what his end goal is. Why does he want to help Nora help Barry stop Cicada? How did Grace get back to their time? How did Grace know about the Metahuman cure? Is this really all about Thawne manipulating the West-Allens so that the metahuman cure is destroyed and he gets his powers back? Something is up and Iris isn't taking the threat of Thawne serious enough and now she's dragged Barry into it. Two episodes left and this isn't going to end well (for the West-Allens).

It was great to see Roy back on Arrow with Season 7 Episode 20, Confessions. He even has some "Very Necessary Roy Flips". But then things get real dark. These season is about to end in a really fucked up way. The team has crossed the line (rightfully so) to protect Roy but that also falls right into Emiko's plan. We now have the groundwork laid for how vigilantes and team Arrow get the public to turn against them in the future we saw. Everything is coming together and what's emerging is something very dark for team Arrow. No matter what happens: Emiko Won.

Kriss is back with another episode of the Insanity Check to cover this week's dose of insanity in the world. This week he's joined by Aaron from the Black Astronauts Podcast network. There's a lot to cover this week from thanking our fans for the support for our Endgame event, asking questions on the 1 year "anniversary" of Universal FanCon, Measles & Bubonic Plague Back, Social Media techbros failing society and more.

Topics:

* Thanks to everyone who came out to our Avengers Endgame screenings and live shows

* Did that Universal FanCon Infinity War screening happen?

* People putting their brand and looking good over being good people

* Do You Even Sci-Fi Bro?

* Scientology cruise ship quarantined for Measles

* Bubonic Plague Back

* Twitter's excuse for not blocking white supremacists like ISIS is infuriating

* Funny what happens when police shoot an unarmed white woman by "accident"

* Not the Onion: WH says Putin & Trump agree there was no collusion

* Working less than 40 hours a week makes you lazy...according to some idiot

* Spending $30 million to study homelessness instead of just...fixing homelessness

* That's how you ally: White man moves homeless black couple into his $4 million home and tells his neighbors to deal with it

Guest: Aaron

Ro reviews the new American classic, The Intruder as Kriss and Brandon listen intently.

No but seriously, this film could have been good. Michael Ealy is a really good (and underrated actor). But they paired him with Meagan Good and well...she's not.

Ugly Dolls is one of the brave films coming out this weekend in the shadow of Avengers Endgame. How will it fare? Well that depends.

The first problem with Ugly Dolls is the promotion. The trailers and promotion for this film don't hint at the fact that this is really an animated musical. One look at the voice cast and it being a musical becomes apparent (Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Pitbull, Blake Shelton, etc) but if you're not prepared for the heavy lifting of the story to be done through song, this might catch you off guard. The bigger issue with this film is that while it has a really great message about being comfortable with oneself and not letting others dictate how you should be, this is a film that parents might need to discuss with their kids afterwards to make sure their kids learned the right lesson. This film never really manages to nail down the target audience.

Overall this is an enjoyable film that is worth checking out but you can't help but feel that it falls short of what it could have been.

Quick moment of silence for all the films brave enough to take on Avengers Endgame's second weekend at the box-office.

*Thanos Voice* I hope they remember you.

Now with that out of the way, we have to say Long Shot starring Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen is actually a pretty good comedy. The trailers for this film don't do it justice as they make it seem like just another dudebro fantasy film about a man who gets to romance the woman of his dreams whose league he is nowhere near. The trailers make this seem like all the other movies we've seen like it. But Long Shot isn't that film. Thanks should probably go to Theron and writer Liz Hannah for making sure Theron's character Charlotte Field has her own agency and that her character growth isn't centered on propping up Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen).

Long Shot is probably going to get slaughtered at the box-office this weekend but that doesn't mean it's not worth checking out.
