Always trying to be the hero and rescue someone who doesn't need rescuing and now he's possessed by a demon. Smh. 

Once again Legends does a great job of balancing tone in an episode. What starts off as some character development for Ava morphs into development for Sara and forcing her to think about her future and what she really wants. I mean, putting together furniture from IKEA with your significant other can be a very big test of your relationship. 

This show continues to be great.

Fine. Since no one else will do it, Kriss will be the bad guy here: Iris is wrong as hell this episode. Eobard Thawne is the master manipulator that has been one step ahead of Team Flash since the beginning. The fact that he's gotten to Nora should have Iris way more worried than she is. And telling Barry that it doesn't bother her as much, even though Thawne killed Barry's mom (In front of no less than 3 versions of himself)...oh man...Barry is a better person than all of us. 

But all seriousness, the argument/discussion between Iris and Barry at the beginning of this episode is so good. There are legit points on both sides and both are making decisions based on emotions. But that's why Grant Gustin and Candice Patton work so well together a Barry and Iris because they sells us the audience on it so well.

This week Kara learns that sometimes the cape can't get the job done.  She's spent the last few seasons using her Supergirl persona to gain access and earn respect.  In visiting Lex's prison, she learns she can get much farther using her abilities and the earned respect she's garnered as a rising reporter to get information and work to bring Lex down.  We continue to see Ben Lockwood be...well...Ben Lockwood, and Haley is finally given a moment that brings out the empathy in The Doctor and reduces her desire to see Haley dead by maybe...5%?  James continues to work through his PTSD and discovers that something else may be going on with the symptoms he's having.  It was nice to see James using techniques therapists actually use with real patients in dealing with trauma, and allowing him to feel the full emotion of being shot instead of brushing it off the way most television shows do.  We also discuss the future direction for the story arcs and Shanna refuses to edit out a very tone deaf rendition of the Highlander song...sorry in advance!

It's finally here. Avengers Endgame. The culmination of 11 years and 22 movies in the MCU. Does it live up to the hype? Absolutely. The Russos stick the landing here in an incredible way. This film ends up bringing the Infinity Saga and the last 11 years to a close while also seeding the possibilities for the future. There is so much fan service done in this movie it's impossible to really go into details without spoilers. This is for us all.

Kriss and Dpalm are back right before the release of Avengers Endgame with the second part of their Iron Man deep dive. This is where the character of Tony Stark really gets interesting. Starting with Iron Man Volume 3, the character of Tony Stark had some big changes. Most of this could be due to the fact that the character would soon be the launching point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first change comes in Volume 3 with Tony coming clean to the public that Iron Man isn't piloted by an employee but by Tony Stark himself. This finally merges the characters of Tony and Iron Man into a singular point. Stories around the character evolve from a villain just wanting Tony's company to villains wanting Tony himself because Tony is the technology. Tony begins to meld more and more with machine and with that bring into question his decision making and whether he can be trusted to do the right thing. And his battles with alcohol continue.

Kriss and Dpalm are back to review the latest episode of Arrow season 7,  Lost Canary. This was a simple episode that while it didn't move the main plot forward much, gave us an episode with all the ladies that have played the Black Canary in one episode together. It was good to see Sara back on the show for a bit. And we like the idea of the Canaries being a sisterhood that lasts even to the future. It was worth the break from the main story and plot.
