Mugshot

A 911 call comes in about a beloved member of the elementary school's after school program, and PTA President, stating she had been driving erratically and was seen hiding drugs in her car. Everyone was shocked and confused, as no one could believe Kelli Peters could ever put herself, or a child in danger. And maybe they were right to be confused. But who would make up such a lie?

In the town of Dalton, Georgia, a small Bible group experienced a big miracle. After months of feeling like they had a bigger calling, a bigger purpose, their Bible began to seep oil, and didn't seem to let up. Knowing this was their moment, they began to give the oil away, encouraging people to be anointed and whatever they asked of the Lord would be granted. Stories flowed in of the ailments cured, the businesses revived, the wealth restored, so much so that the news took note. But when the newspaper article was released, an employee from a tractor supply store spoke up, and what he had to say brought the whole thing in to question...

In the 1950's, the United States ran testing with atomic bombs. Of course, these bombs affected people and the environment, but to what extent was unknown. A project was launched to figure this out, but finding test subjects was difficult. Despite knowing the legal ramifications, body snatching was employed to ensure the testing could be completed.

Nirav Modi was an elite jewelry designer who catered to the rich and famous. Everyone in the industry knew who he was, in part because of his skill, and in part because of how fast his business grew. That's why, when it all came crashing down just over two years ago, some were and some weren't surprised.

In the last episode, Gerd Heidemann was working on the scoop of the century after finding Hitler's lost diaries. Once they were published, they were quickly outed as fakes. While everyone was pointing their fingers at Heidemann, he was insisting the person he bought them from had to be the guilty party. So, who was behind the fakes?

In the 1980's, an investigative journalist makes the find of a lifetime - the previously lost diaries of Adolf Hitler. Not only would this be a snapshot into history, some of the information inside would cast doubt onto what we previously knew about one of the most notorious villains of all time. Once the diaries are published, questions begin to arise. Are they even real? If not, where did they come from? And who would be daring enough to try to rewrite history?

Usually, the words "Santa Claus is coming to town" are exciting. Seeing the big guy in red usually means presents and joy. But for one Texas town in the 1920's, the arrival of Santa meant fear, robbery... and even blood.

This episode is a bonus for you guys, since Mugshot is about to be on break for the holidays. We take a look at some of the strangest crimes committed during the holiday season. Also, my kids have asked if they could do the music on my podcast sometime so... this is it! Their big musical debut.

Gerald Payne was a schemer. He was also a preacher. Once he established his new ministry, he came up with a great idea for an investment program for his church members. It would return their money two fold. Only, the idea wasn't legitimate, and people lost their life savings.
