Can it be? Is it so?? A production of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's "Cats" that is remarkable, and dare I say it RELEVANT? Finally there's a production of Cats that has SOMETHING to say. This revival is what most shows are terrified to be, and I cannot wait to talk about it. We may even learn about BALLROOM CULTURE. Come join the ride kids. Also, we have a special appearance from our best friend Big Beak Entertainment.

How to get to Scmigadoon? You go to take the long way through. Through Apple TV, then cancellation. Then to the lights of Broadway in a truncated version of the story that just doesn't quite hit as hard as that darn TV Show does. Well, you can't win them all.... OH WAIT YOU CAN! Because this adaptation of a TV Show SWEPT the Tony Awards. Well, I guess we'll have to see what Andrew thought.

Welcome to the very first episode of The Cheese Wheel! Your hosts, Andrew DeWolf, Jess McAnally, and Liz Esten, are kicking things off with a deep dive into a true cult classic: Doug Walker's cinematic opus, Kickassia. This 2010 parody film, brought to life by the Nostalgia Critic and his team, follows their outlandish attempt to take over the one-acre nation of Molossia and transform it into the absurdly named Kickassia.
For Andrew, Jess, and Liz, Kickassia isn't just a movie—it's a nostalgic landmark that defined an era of online content and fandom. In this episode, they'll reminisce about what made this chaotic, no-budget spectacle so special to them, dissect the film's unique brand of humor, and explore why Kickassia still holds a special place in the hearts of fans years later, despite a lot of the creators being less then good people.
Join us on this wild ride down memory lane as we launch The Cheese Wheel and celebrate the madness that is Kickassia. We can't wait for you to hear it!

Speaking of reviving something from years ago, this week we're diving back into the world of Hatchetfield to talk about StarKid's new revival of "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals." Specifically, we're going to talk about how theater can adapt and change over the years, and how Starkid Fans can go crazy of minute changes to a performance to fine tune a tone because "it's not identical to the one I watched a buttzillion times." Lets dive in kids!

We're back baby! How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore and... Y'know what, forget that. Let's call in Jimmy Fallon the ground to get him to sing a song. Yes we're back to the show proper, I'm certain you missed all your favorite bits? Will we talk about Ben Brantley? Will we talk about Busta Rhymes? You'll have to listen to find out. This week we're talking about "The Hamilton Mixtape."

Today we're saying goodbye to the Nostalgia Critic for a brief time, until unceremoniously bringing him back. Much like Musicals with Cheese, which was sent off two years ago, and is now unceremoniously coming back. Thank you for coming on this ride with us, and taking a chance on something broader than Broadway. I hope you'll continue to follow us HOME to Cheese.

For our penultimate episode, we're diving into the pure insanity that can only be brought from the mind of the deeply unwell mind of Francis Ford Coppola. Today we're going to try to unpack the auteurist disaster that was funded by a Wine Empire. Is it good? Nope. Let's dive in.
