Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 1 Chronicles 17:27 which says "Now you have been pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, LORD, have blessed it, and it will be blessed forever.”

I am far from perfect, I take many risks, and I fail. I sometimes hurt those I love the most. I am not perfect, but through my humanity I promise to always show you Jesus - because there would be no way I could achieve all that I have without Him. 

I encourage us all today. How can we build His house? Can we serve our communities? Our churches? Can we give of our time, talent, treasure? 

Where do you have your trust? I hope today we can confidently say - Him.

I have a lot of plans for my life, I want to continue to write, I want to own a business, even if the bakery didn’t work out I have that want to be an entrepreneur deep inside. He called me to that life. I know that I have been equipped, and that might mean working for someone else for a few years before I can venture out on my own again. 

But what I will never forget, is that working for His kingdom before all else is what gives me the continued strength to work for myself. It is all for him, all else will be added.

So we all have what it takes. We all have the power, and love of God within us. We have all been given self-discipline. We can do it, we can do what He has called us to. We just have to step out in that god confidence!

In the grand scheme of things, the pain we experience is nothing but a flicker of time. Seasons come and go, and life will one day look differently as we spend it with Jesus in eternity. 

Pretty morbid, but in actuality it’s such a blessing. 

Knowing that in this life we will have pain, seasons of suffering, unimaginable hurt - but we will also have joy, love, and pure moments of laughter. 

There is goodness and it’s just a taste of what eternal glory will be like. 

So look at your pain and remind yourself that this is noting but a flicker of time.

This is one of the greatest stories in the Bible in my opinion. But then again I say that often. 

This story however feels so relatable. It’s a story that is true today as it was then. 
Sometimes God gives us a promise, a vision, a dream and we fill it with doubts because we present our lack, rather than replacing our lack with His greatness. 

I love that he closed his mouth for the duration of the pregnancy. We know that our words are powerful, and if we have nothing nice to say to the dreams of God, then let’s not say anything. 

If we know our words can speak life, let us speak life to the miracle God wants to give us. 

To others, it’s crazy, but for us, it’s for His glory.

"This weekend was so special. So sweet. A weekend I will never forget. Filled with laughter and a lot of love. I saw the goodness of God this weekend. 

I saw my family and friends gather and shower us in love. I had the absolute best weekend. 

Political parties didn’t matter, difference of opinion didn’t matter. It was just a moment of pure admiration. 

I would love to believe that if we treated others with that much love everyday we would be in a better place. There would be less stress, less anxiety. Everyday should be a day to celebrate. Every day is a gift and we know his mercies are new every morning. 

So what ever has you stressed today, put it away. This day is a gift, this day is a blessing and this day we will  choose to love deeply. "
