Wednesday in Nebraska football brought us lots of news. At the top of the list, the Huskers are set to hire a general manager, Pat Stewart, from the New England Patriots. The current Nebraska GM, Sean Padden, is staying as Nebraska, Troy Dannen and Matt Rhule take off the gloves in their fight to get the Huskers to the top of the Big Ten as the revenue sharing era dawns. 

Also, new assistant coaches Phil Snow, Phil Simpson and Daikiel Shorts addressed the media in Lincoln. Connor and Mitch have thoughts on the trio – in particular on Shorts’ presence and what a remade defensive staff means for how the Huskers play on that side of the ball in 2025.

Finally, we get to the Rhule comments made to Urban Meyer this week in relation to Nebraska’s recent cancellation of a series against Tennessee.
