Welcome to "Reaching Your Peak", a new elk hunting podcast mini-series of the Elk Talk Podcast! “Reaching Your Peak” will be published every other week, to fill in the gap between regular ETP episodes, from now until the first part of October. In this new mini-series, Corey Jacobsen will be sharing stories from his past elk hunts, and then detailing a strategy or tactic that was instrumental in the success of that hunt.

To kick things off, Corey shares the story of his 1999 Idaho archery elk hunt, and recalls the encounter he and his hunting partner had with a very intoxicated man at a local gas station during their hunt. It turns out, the elk hunting advice shared by this random stranger nearly 25 years ago may have had much more value than they originally thought…
