Owned by the Canterbury Railway Society and based at the Ferrymead Heritage park in Christchurch, the locomotive, known to many as 'Peveril' entered service in December 1873. President of the Canterbury Railway Society, David Maciulaitis talks to Nights about the loco and the celebrations this weekend.
