It was the early '80's, and the war on drugs was in full swing. Nancy Reagan toured schools throughout the US to remind children to "JUST SAY NO." The push to get drugs off the streets superseded almost all else. In fact, to be on the hook for a drug charge was to be punished more severely than with violent crime. Enter....the FBI.

In Detroit, Michigan, in 1984, Robert Wershe Jr was passing his time with the wrong crowd. He learned that selling drugs provided fast cash. He came from a broken home and was missing his mother terribly. But the FBI saw something different. They saw a way to get all the intel they wanted, be it at the hands, and potentially LIFE, of a child.

From the late 1970's to the turn of the new century, women consistently went missing in the Downtown East Side area of Vancouver, or DTES. Known as Vancouver's Skid Row, DTES boasts North America's highest rates of STDs, and sex workers as young as eleven years old. But those aren't the only atrocities to haunt the area. Wild haired, foul smelling Robert "Willy" Pickton came with a troubled past and a desire for murder. As these women were hunted over the years, a group of the sex workers gathered to make the "bad date book" - a tool to warn others of unsavory Johns. But Willy had other plans. Armed with farm equipment, an industrial sized meat grinder, and predatory charm over these vulnerable women, Willy fulfilled his fantasies. Join Andrea Up Late as she talks childhood trauma, Hell's Angels, snuff films, and the insanity of the marginalized state of indigenous women. This case comes with a warning. Very difficult information to digest. In the Tulsa suburb of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in 2015, a set of siblings were conspiring. After many orders to weapons stores, online searches, and grandiose ideas of mass murder, the 16 and 18 year old Bever brothers were ready to execute their plan - and their family.
