I woke up at 7.30 this morning; I had breakfast at 8.00. I read the news on my mobile phone. Then I did the washing. It's a beautiful day. A cat came to the garden. That reminded me of a haiku about a cat.
I can see the garden from my workroom. I always see the cats coming into the garden from my window. There is a shed in the garden. The top of the shed is warm and the cats like that place. Today, a black and white patchy cat was sleeping.
Sleeping, waking up/and a big yawn -/a cat's love
Spring rain /a child teaching a cat /to dance
These are spring haiku. Haiku has seasonal words (kigo), ‘cat love' and 'kitten' are seasonal words in haiku.
On a snowy day /a cat sleeping/on top of the kotatsu
This is 'kotatsu neko' (kotatsu cat). It is a winter haiku because kotatsu is a winter kigo.
